Thought I might reach my record high (for baseball...i.e. my record high (better not go there)) of 14 straight days. About 5 or 6 (or 75...seems like it) years ago. Cashed over 2-grand and thought I was in heaven. True story. Swear on Richard Wright's grave.
Not impressive to some, within, surely, as a few of you bet that much on single games.
My economics doesn't allow that--some of you are just better endowed (cough) than me.
Just short of $700 is my biggest game (winnah!), and the stress levels up thataway are more than I can presently relinquish.

Kawakami past his prime and, while not the worst arm currently in the bigs, provides me a ray of hope that my team can stay in first for another 1.5 days.
Cook ShO, yesterday, further convinces me that Braves O will continue the U-Turn.
Did I mention that the Jays really need this one?!?!?!

Dodgers pen is clearly better, so far in '09, otherwise I might bite into the temptation of Weaver (who is really coming on, but does prefer the home-field) as a dog, here. Angels preferring lefties, so far, but I don't think many batters will prefer this hoe-down.

Final important note:
My buddy John Hirschbeck should be going, somewhere, as ump on Friday. Hendrix, did I ever miss him last year--I love my unders and he's as solid as they come for that. Eddings has been comparable, in previous years, but not so much so far in '09. Hirschbeck has been phenonemal and, IMO, one of the best ways to make money this season will be to play Hirsch's games under.
I'll be on the lookout.
