The discussion on trade possibilities yesterday with mugs re: Guerin, Oates, etc got me thinking.
I thought it would be interesting if folks could come up with a list of players from their favorite team who would be on the team now if not for a trade early in their careers.
Basically guys who were traded as a young prospect on a deal for someone else and are now pretty good. It does not necessarily have to be that way I guess. I suppose it could be a little disappointing to see whom your team could have on the ice right now if they'd kept them. Does not have to be a long list, maybe just one line combo or something.
The Caps could have Richard Zednick, Jason Allison, Anson Carter, Joe Juneau and Jan Bulis on the roster right now. Of the guys those guys were traded for they have Oates and Zubrus on the roster now, and Linden was traded to Vancouver for a #1 pick. That is all I could come up with off the top of my head.
