Done the work already and just getting a 1 inch 'chubby' just thinking about this one..

This is it, I've been going pretty good on totals the last month or so ,but this is IT... UNDER PITT/ CLEV at 33
Loads of reasons,lasts weeks losses by both teams, HATED rivals, punishing and "knockout shots" -just like Jack Tatum used to deliver,etc. etc.etc.
I am so serious about this game ,I have started to get 'in' already.
I don't care if it's 75 and nice and freeking lovely.Been reading WAY too much about 'bad' conditions affecting totals recently. Let these two MOTHERS go at it and get it on!!!!!
Taking all I can right now. If you play this one and get beat,(don't even say Chicago Bears)Let me know,as I'm sure you will when we are collecting.

Bonded? Gee I just thought I'd offer you guys a promo.
I guess Americans are a different sort.
Never thought of getting myself Bonded to make you the easiest $$ of the year.
I get the feeling there REALLY are'nt many guys that do bet serious money,as it seems everybody waits until Sunday and MADLY attempt to draw at straws.
It is beyond me,with all the info. out there,why guys don't 'play'earlier in the week.I have 80 % of my plays in by Wed.

Spanky, I was just kidding as I am sure you are by saying you will pay ALL our losses if we follow you and lose.

As far as playing early in the week, you can make an argument for or against. If you want to get a 'key' number that you think will change and you really like the play, you should play it early. If you like a fav and know the public will move the line a few points against you, you should play it early. This can work against you sometimes. Suppose you play INDY -3 this week and on Saturday, Payton Manning is in a car accident? how you gonna feel about that play you put in on Wed?

I personally, do both. A big reason I will wait sometimes is because I do not get my pool picks until Friday afternoon. I have finished 90% of my capping by Friday but there are certain players whom I like to see what they have chosen. Not to coat tail them, but to FADE them. Over the years, some have proven to be quite good at picking LOSERS. and I am talking consistently. If they are on a play I like it makes me re-think the play. Conversely, like last weekend, when one had NO as a 3*, it made my liking of the JETS even more powerful. I pounded them on Sunday night and sat back and watched an easy win. They are my 'public' and until I know what side they are on, I sure as heck do not want to lock up some of my dough.

Anyways good luck on Sunday. Sure hope your play comes through...otherwise you will take a lot of flack around here....

I know exactly what you are saying about the pros and cons pertaining to 'the early wager '. I just can't understand how a site like this is FLOODED from noon on ,on a Sunday with guys desperate to 'grab' a winner. Man, if you can't do SOME of your own handicapping on a sheet of games,you have NO business betting.I guess that is what I meant to say,but I don't want people getting the wrong idea,thinking I'm a gigantic asshole (actually I'm only a minor asshole the odd time).
I like to get my plays in early ,yes as I have learned that changing your mind from one play to another ,because you listened to 'Joe Blow',can really bite you in the ass.Been going to the 'track' 34 years and that is the place I learned to 'TRUST" myself !!!
Phoenix, don't get me wrong,I will read input about other games , but I won't read about games I have handicapped myself-nothing worse that jumping off an easy win,just because you listened to some dribble about something pertaining to the game you "LOVE"...

Hard to say if I agree with this statement that late posters are desperate to grab a winner. There could be many reasons. someone may play the game on Wed but wait until noon on Sun to post. why? I have no clue. others may be on the side of a dog that the public is betting huge. if this were me, i would wait till last minute to get best line. i think your comment does apply to the majority of posters though, who make there plays based on others plays (whether or not they actually handicapped themselves as well)

There are only 2 'Joe Blows' i listen to and usually do the exact opposite of what they do
