Great point. Who has Texas played? First team people throw out is Ohio St. Solid win and on the road. However, look at the game closer and Ohio St. at the time had an INEPT offense. Below average offense and OSU still dropped a wide open TD pass in that game. OSU would easily have scored over 30pts against that "great" Texas D.

Ohio St. best defense Texas faced. They have very good D. Who else have they faced with a great defense?

Lets switch sides. Who has Texas played with great offense? People will say Texas Tech. But that is a gimmick offense that often gets shut down against great competition. They also are not balanced. Plus Texas played TT @Texas. So who else has great offense that Texas played? Anybody?

USC without a doubt will be the #1 offense Texas faced all year. USC without a doubt will be either the best or #2 defense Texas has faced all year.

USC has not played a defense as talented as Texas. But USC has played challenging defenses and many on the road! (teams always play better defense at home vs road) As for offenses, USC has played @Oregon, @ASU, @ND, Fresno St. and UCLA. All 5 have high powered nationally ranked offenses. (you can even throw in @Hawaii, Washington St. and @CAL as nationally ranked offenses) USC got the best from each one as Oregon QB played against USC but got injured later in season. Same with ASU QB who played against USC but got injured later in season. USC got ND with Weis having 2 weeks to prepare AND Weis might be the #1 OC in CFB. Fresno St. is very physical and balanced team. UCLA has NFL talent at key positions on offense and will have 3 weeks to prepare for USC. (Texas gets 4 weeks to prepare for USC)

So if USC wins the next 2 games, USC will be very very tested before they take the field on Jan. 4th. I cannot say the same for Texas. Can you?

I will give 2-to-1 odds that Hokie never pays anyone. Say what you want about USC's schedule (I know I do), but the Big 12 is not much better. Plus, how can you say anyone is going to stomp a team that can score 50 points in 5 minutes playing in their own backyard?

Where are you getting your weed? It must be some powerful swag.

I can't figure out why everyone is so impressed with Texas. They have only played one good team all year and that is Ohio State and they are overrated. If Texas was in the SEC they would have 2 losses. Vince Young won't be able to run all over USC and those jump ball passes he throws wont work either. The BIG 12 is garbage this year.

I agree. I think people dislike having west coast teams be dominant or win championships. In all sports. Especially football. Midwest and east coast is ok. But not the west coast. Fans are hoping Texas can kock out USC and since they are winning by large margins over $hit teams, they are now convincing themselves Texas not only can but will win the championship. This is happening subconsciously.

Look at the 1st post in this thread. "Texas will stomp USC"

Who the hell would predict that? Even if it came true, there is evidence ANY team can beat USC by double digits. Geesh.

Then you'll see posters continue to say Pac 10 sucks and weak, USC gets free pass to NC game, they will be exposed, USC over-rated, USC not physical, USC D is crap etc etc etc.

Gotta admit, I am not seeing it as much as I did the last 3 years. Maybe most fans have finally caught on USC is pretty damn good and Pac 10 is tough to run the table in and prepares USC very well along with USC's quality OOC schedule year in year out.

So Cal
If we can figure a way to put the money in escrow, I'll take whatever you want. Then I will take Texas with the points for the same amount and have a nice middle shot. So name your price.
