Sure, That is if Texas gets Through that viscious b12 championship against Colorado or IA st or whatever piece of shit they play. Take a look at the Texas schedule are you impressed by that?
Great point. Who has Texas played? First team people throw out is Ohio St. Solid win and on the road. However, look at the game closer and Ohio St. at the time had an INEPT offense. Below average offense and OSU still dropped a wide open TD pass in that game. OSU would easily have scored over 30pts against that "great" Texas D.
Ohio St. best defense Texas faced. They have very good D. Who else have they faced with a great defense?
Lets switch sides. Who has Texas played with great offense? People will say Texas Tech. But that is a gimmick offense that often gets shut down against great competition. They also are not balanced. Plus Texas played TT @Texas. So who else has great offense that Texas played? Anybody?
USC without a doubt will be the #1 offense Texas faced all year. USC without a doubt will be either the best or #2 defense Texas has faced all year.
USC has not played a defense as talented as Texas. But USC has played challenging defenses and many on the road! (teams always play better defense at home vs road) As for offenses, USC has played @Oregon, @ASU, @ND, Fresno St. and UCLA. All 5 have high powered nationally ranked offenses. (you can even throw in @Hawaii, Washington St. and @CAL as nationally ranked offenses) USC got the best from each one as Oregon QB played against USC but got injured later in season. Same with ASU QB who played against USC but got injured later in season. USC got ND with Weis having 2 weeks to prepare AND Weis might be the #1 OC in CFB. Fresno St. is very physical and balanced team. UCLA has NFL talent at key positions on offense and will have 3 weeks to prepare for USC. (Texas gets 4 weeks to prepare for USC)
So if USC wins the next 2 games, USC will be very very tested before they take the field on Jan. 4th. I cannot say the same for Texas. Can you?
