the NHL stop crying about the way there game is played and actually do something about it. I am a huge fan of the NHL and have seen all there attempts to open up the game for its stars fail. The come up with BS obstruction rules, If they really want to make the game more exciting then they should take a page out of the olympic rule book and do away with the red line as far as 2 line passes are concerned. This would open up the game and make it more enjoyable for the average fanto watch and would make promting the sport alot easier. IMO if they dont do somthing then one of the best sports in the world will never get the recognition that it deserves, and it will always be treated like a second class citizen amoung the major sports.

NHL:

I couldn't agree with you more. For years I've wondered what it is about hockey as presented by the NHL that was holding it back as far as popularity with the public was concerned and you hit the nail right on the head.

Thank you for bringing it up.

i totally agree grentlemen with that statement....i have to admit, i watched the first game between Sweden and Canada, and even though Canada got pummelled in the second period...

IT WAS ENTERTAINING HOCKEY!!!

the speed and more open ice was pleasant to watch.
