Only someone completely ignorant to young baseball talent, would think the Indians got robbed in this trade. The Mets gave up the frickin' house to get a stop gap 2b in Alomar. Alomar is a future Hall of Famer but he is 33 years old. While he may have 2 good years left, the Indians were not going to win a World Series with him next year. But, please take a good, hard look at the talent the Mets gave up, especially Traver, and then figure out who is gonna be depressed in the next 2 years.

P.S. The Indians just became one of the fastest teams in the American League.

I watched Alex Escobar play single A ball in Columbia, S.C. with the Bombers a few years ago and can tell you that that kid is going to be a stud. He's got some great wheels and can hit for power as well as average...

Would also like to add that I was smart enough to take a picture with the kid and get him to sign a ball for me. You could just tell, even back then, that he had what it took.

It's all for the yanks taking in 2002. They should stomp on all competition. Seriously it should be a dog fight, but they will be pumped to kick some ass. Hope they make some smart decisions with the lineup. I'm pumped for anothere world series championship. It be nice if the Mets are in it also. Subway series would be special, probably a little more entertaining this time around.
