"Please stop, I am about to pop a main blood vessel from laughing, this garbage from these right wingers gets deeper and deeper. Funny how the CIA and other world intelligence agencies disagree with your figures, they seem to believe that both Afghanastan and Iraq have become training grounds for terrorists, but what the hell do they know, I am sure Dope Man Rush or Fox News has better sources. 75%, BWHAHAHHAHAHA, damn I need a drink"

Oh they disagree--would you care post the correct facts?? or do we get more opinion--you know if you presented logical, factual data to support your opinion maybe someone would take you seriously.--and I believe I'll still take Rush over the liberals new talk show counter--Jerry Springer ;) now thats funny :)

Edward "No one here in the middle"?????????????

in the middle??? ACLU backing liberals in the middle--you and MC got to be on the same stuff--

Do the 2 of you REALLY think--those in the middle--the majority of "we the people"

---agree that the butt boys trump boyscouts in our public parks
---think childrens prayer is a no no but defending those that produce child porn is just.
--look down on what you refer to as flag wavers--but defend the flag burners
----Think our troops that "embarrased captured terrorist" should be punished but terrorist that kill prisonors should have council before being questioned.
---prefer happy holidays to merry Christmas and hate any Chritmas displays
--feel there is no place for religion in justice systems when every supreme court session begins with prayer and every one that testifys in court does so under oath.
--believe in gay marriage and think same playing grab ass at disney or on the beach is great experience for their children.

I could go on and on but my finger is getting tired--but if you really think that those in the middle are for any of the above you need to have MC insert his BWHAHAHHAHAHA ---and have a drink ;)

As far as the general public being any brighter than that keyboard your typing on, just note the most watched television shows as the ratings come out.

Ya just might think this country's in trouble when the number one shows are American Idol, Survivor and who the f*** wants to marry my dad. In addition, when Martha Stewart getting out of prison and the Michael Jackson trial are the leading electronic media stories, we, in my humble opinion, of course, are in a world of shit.

Thats not quite right. I think you and I both agree that you need a haircut.

From what I understand about the testimony anticipated from the Michael Jackson trial, a head on collision between Martha and Michael is highly unlikely. Although I wouldn't be surprised to hear about a rearender between Michael and much younger male dodge-em drivers.

AR, the real issue is that the majority of Americans find idiot tv much more interesting than the history channel, frontline, nova, charlie rose, etc. On the shuttle into work, I hear people talking about "who got cut" and "who made it to the next round" all the time instead of hearing people talk about how brilliant Ward Churchill was on Free Speech TV last night.

so,the judge decided to tack an extra ten years onto the guy`s sentence....

again... :wtf:....can judges arbitrarily hand out time like kool-aide?....aren`t there some sentencing guidelines?....

or can judges just hand out additional time because a guy cops an attitude at sentencing....actually after sentencing?....

that sounds very scary to me.....

A liberal personal injury attorneys view of brilliance--
Ward Chucrhill
Claims he's an Indian but can not support
http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/news_columnists/article/0,1299,DRMN_86_3530404,00.html
Claims he an artist--you be the judge
http://news4colorado.com/topstories/local_story_055200531.html

Miltary--this is funny but no surprise-from Denver Post

"U.S. Army records produced in 2004 in response to a request from the organization News From Indian Country show that Churchill was inducted on Nov. 16, 1966, and trained as a light-truck driver and projectionist. He spent most of a year in Vietnam.

The stories he has told over the years of his Vietnam service have varied dramatically. On a 1980 r?sum? submitted to the University of Colorado, Churchill wrote that he served as a public-information specialist who "wrote and edited the battalion newsletter and wrote news releases."

In a 1987 interview with The Denver Post, and as recently as two weeks ago, Churchill described his Vietnam service as more complicated. In the 1987 interview, he said he had attended paratrooper school and been assigned as part of an elite long- range reconnaissance patrol to hunt the enemy. His service records do not reflect paratrooper school, or training or assignment on reconnaissance.

Family life--Currently on 4th marriage

Legal issues
Since 1983, Churchill has had several minor run-ins with the law. He also has been stopped for speeding, driving an unsafe vehicle and driving without a valid license, according to court records. Officers and police records listed him as white.

In 1996, Churchill clashed with a parking services employee and was cited for use of intimidation and violence on CU grounds. Those charges were dropped.

Additionally, he has been sued more than a dozen times, including a 1992 suit filed by the U.S. government for failing to repay an $18,000 student loan, a judgment that was satisfied by Churchill.

Yep he's definately the epitome of a liberal--and your illustrious acknolwedgement of his brilliance adds credence to---
"Show me who you walk with and I'll tell you who you are"

and back to military
Question-- Do liberals while dissing war and soilders--secretly wish and dream that that they had courage to walk point --be a para trooper--belong to elite units ect. His fabrications would surely project that ;)

Oh, I see, it's *who* they pardoned. In that case, let's look at Bush 41's pardon of five people involved in Iran-Contra.

You seem obsessed with Marc Rich. A tax evader that was also involved with Iran-Contra. Why are you so upset with that one pardon? It seems like that would be somebody who true conservatives would look up to.

Since I guess we're now talking about the 'quality' of pardons instead of 'quantity', which pardons would you consider more egregious? A tax evader or criminals within our government? Also interesting to note that no top level Clinton officials were convicted of anything in connection with their duties.

" Six of the most high-profile Iran-Contra indictments and convictions were aborted when
outgoing George H.W. Bush issued his sweeping Christmas Eve pardons in 1992.

Among the more celebrated Iran-Contra cases:

National Security Adviser Robert McFarlane guilty of withholding information to Congress,
fined, two years' probation, pardoned on Christmas Eve 1992 by George H.W. Bush.

Lt. Col. Oliver North convicted on three criminal counts, fined, suspended sentence, set
aside on technicality.

National Security Adviser John Poindexter convicted on five criminal counts, sentenced
to six months imprisonment, set aside on technicality.

Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger, indicted on five counts for lying to Congress,
pardoned on Christmas Eve, 1992 by outgoing President George H.W. Bush.

C.I.A.'s Clair E. George indicted for perjury, mistrial, pardoned on Christmas Eve 1992 by
outgoing President George H.W. Bush.

Elliott Abrams, assistant secretary of state, guilty of withholding information, pardoned
on Christmas Eve 1992 by outgoing President George H.W. Bush.

Duane R. Clarridge, C.I.A., indicted for misleading Congress, pardoned on Christmas Eve
1992 by outgoing President George H.W. Bush.

Alan D. Fiers, C.I.A., plead guilty to charge of withholding information from Congress,
pardoned on Christmas Eve 1992 by outgoing President George H.W. Bush.

But Iran-Contra, like Watergate, was only a symptom of the criminality rampant in the
Reagan White House.

In addition, there were the cases of:

-- Lyn Nofziger, top White House advisor, convicted on charges of illegal lobbying.

-- Michael Deaver, top White House advisor, convicted on charges of illegal lobbying,
lying to Congress, fined one hundred thousand dollars and given three years probation.

Then there were these additional major scandals:

-- The Pentagon Procurement Scandal

-- The H.U.D. Scandals, involving massive fraud and losses of billions of dollars to
taxpayers, unearthed only when Reagan left office.

-- The E.P.A. Scandals. E.P.A. Director Anne Gorscuh Burford resigned amid accusations
she politically manipulated the Superfund money. Her appointee, Rita Lavelle, fired
after accusing a senior EPA official of "systematically alienating the business
community." Lavelle later indicted, tried and convicted of lying to Congress and served
three months of a six-month prison sentence.

Quite a collection of convicts, jailbirds, and grateful pardonees, isn't it?

Oh, and what about the Clinton-Gore Administration? The administration that one
right-wing madman and liar, David Horowitz, once called "the most criminal, most
corrupt, most cynical administration" of them all?

Well, in the Clinton-Gore years exactly no -- as in zero, zilch, nada -- top federal
officials were convicted of any wrongdoing connected to their White House duties.

Webster Hubbell, assistant Attorney-General, was convicted of embezzling funds from
the Little Rock Rose Law Firm, a crime that predated his coming to government and that
involved the defrauding of the First Lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Secretary of Agriculture Mike Espy was brought up on charges of corruption, but found
innocent on all counts, after which the presiding judge admonished the prosecutors for
bringing forward such a frivolous case.

(Espy's chief of staff was convicted of not telling the truth about details in the case
where Espy was acquitted. And Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Henry
Cisneros was convicted for giving false information to the F.B.I. about the size of
payments given to a former mistress. Less than Nixonian or Reaganesque offenses, by
any accounting.)

Resulting from illegalities around a campaign event in 1996, two mid-level Democratic
campaign officials were found guilty of violations of federal election laws.

Oh yes -- and President Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives in a
hard-line partisan proceeding following a perjury trap set up by the Office of the
Independent Counsel -- but acquitted by a large margin in the Senate.

That's about it. The most investigated administration in American history ,by far,
turns out to have been among the very cleanest. "

Good research Matt--but you will have political pardons in every administration----Mr Bill has mostly felons related to entirely diff element of crime.
The Iran-Contra is a jewel in itself---I would like to go into detail sometime--quite interesting.
I think there could be one on same level with current drug traffic in Afgan now.
Sometimes you have to choose between the worser of evils.

Watergate--If I am not mistaken this on eavsdropping by unlawful means on other party correct?? Do you not think this goes on by both sides all the time. It struck me odd a pres would resign over this issue when Mr Bill hung on through several scandals far worse than that.
Was Nixon convicted of felony?? I am not sure but don't think so-I may stand correct. Has any pres beside Bill ever been convicted of felony while in office--I can't think of any.

Well of course every president has pardons, that was my point all along. You just have always been obsessed with Marc Rich, a tax evader. Clinton was on the low end for number of pardons granted and it would be great if you could find a name by name list along with their crimes of people pardoned by the other presidents.

I hardly think lying about a blowjob compares with covering up a break-in to the opponents headquarters. Much more than 'eavesdropping' and you know it.

I don't think Nixon was convicted of a felony, but his VP(Agnew) was. Congress was getting ready to impeach Nixon and he resigned before that happened. Then Ford pardoned him for everything.
What a country!

I chuckled at your last line, and have seen that chain email list of 'mysterious' deaths in Clintons admin. Look below, it's just as ridiculous when you have a list of 'mysterious' Bush41/Reagan deaths:

Paul Wilcher
His partially decomposed body was found in his home, still seated on the toilet. According to the Washington Times, "...he was investigating the theory of an 'October Surprise' conspiracy during the 1980 federal election campaign. He had been interviewing an inmate who claimed to have piloted George Bush to Paris so he could secretly seek to delay the release of 52 American hostages in Iran."

Amiram Nir
He was a former Israeli agent who was in Jerusalem with George Bush during Iran Contra. He went under the assumed name of Pat Weber. Nir was scheduled to testify to the Senate subcommittee and it was feared he would reveal the truth. He perished when his aircraft was shot down with missiles from the helicopter of a man called Gene Tatum, 25-year CIA deep cover agent.

Senator John Tower
He was appointed by the Reagan/Bush Administration to chair the bipartisan committee to investigate the Iran/Contra scandals. He directed the Tower Report and had all the Iran Contra documents that told the real story. He was killed in an airplane crash later in Georgia in 1991. Also killed was his daughter, Marian.

Mohammed Zia al-huk
Dictator of Pakistan, and knew all about Iran/Contra, the training, funding, and arming of narco-terrorists like Osama bin Laden. In August 1988, the same day George Bush got the Republican nomination, his plane crashed into the ground with all engines running. The Pakistanis kept the bodies around (in violation of Islamic custom) for weeks, awaiting US experts. They showed up three weeks later and never checked the bodies. Why?

Barry Seal
He was supposedly murdered by Medellin cartel members, but a 6-month investigation by Sam Dalton, attorney for three of the accused murderers, into Mr. Seal's life and death uncovered some interesting points. The accused's cartel connections were well known, but not their association with Oliver North's enterprise. Mr. Seal was a drug smuggler, up to his armpits in smuggling cocaine for - guess who? - the CIA. During the penalty phase of the Columbians' trial, testimony by one government witness on the activities of Mr. Seal was so damaging to the government that 2 of the jurors wanted to change their verdict to "not guilty". The personal telephone number of George H. W. Bush was found in the trunk of Mr. Seal's car.

William Colby
This former CIA director disappeared in an apparent boating accident, and a body was later discovered (minus the life jacket Colby's friends insisted he always wore while boating) and buried promptly. John DeCamp, a lawyer from Lincoln, Nebraska, and Colby's close friend and confidant, said Colby's death was not an accident. He stated that Colby was prepared to disclose that missing P.O.W.'s were working for a dope smuggling operation orchestrated by General Colin Powell, Pentagon official Richard Armitage, and George H. W. Bush.

Mario Ruiz Massieu
An apparent suicide, Massieu was facing charges that he laundered money for the cocaine cartels. A Houston, Texas jury had found that $8 million in his bank accounts was paid to him by cocaine cartels.

Olof Palme
He was the prime minister of Sweden, assassinated in 1986. Oliver North, the golden boy of the Bush/Reagan machine, had met with Mr. Palme to discuss the possibility of obtaining false end-user certificates for the plethora of weapons that were being purchased, so that they would seem to have come from a country other than the U.S. Mr. Palme refused to participate, after the plan was presented to him. He was dead within weeks.

William Casey
William Casey was CIA Director during the Reagan/Bush Administration. He died 2 days before he was to testify about his and others' involvement in the Iran/Contra scandal.

More 'mystery':

Paul Wellstone
He was a vocal opponent of the Bush administration and the only real progressive in the Senate. Polls showed that his popularity surged when he voted to oppose the war on Iraq. His victory in the Senate race was a foregone conclusion.
Senator Wellstone, his wife Sheila, daughter Marcia, three of his staff and both pilots were killed when his small plane went down in Evelyth, Minnesota, on October 25, 2002.

Governor Mel Carnahan
In the midst of a heated race for the Senate against John Ashcroft, the Governor died in a plane crash on October 16, 2000. His death affected Democrats in two ways - it would hurt their chances of seizing control of the US Senate, and it would strongly impact the Presidential race between Al Gore and George W. Bush. Said St. Louis University political scientist Ken Warren, "There will be a sympathy vote, but that won't be enough to allow him to win. "I don't think the race will be very close. It's over." As we know now, Ashcroft lost to a dead man. Carnahan was elected by a landslide.

Lori Klausutis
Lori Klausutis, age 28, was found dead behind a desk in the offices of US Representative Joe Scarborough of Florida, a Republican, on July 20, 2001. Death was apparently due to a blow on the head. Claims that a heart condition precipitated an accidental fall are tenuous at best; Lori was a marathon runner, and one would think that a heart condition would already have become apparent. At the time of her death, she was treasurer of her chapter of the Florida Federation of Young Republicans. Readers will note that there is no mention of young Lori's passing, although there is that ever-present link to the Chandra/Gary dungheap that commands the attention of our media.
It is an interesting coincidence that Tim Klausitus, Lori's husband, worked on targeting technology for missiles, in light of the fact that Lori's body was discovered within a week of George W. Bush's much-ballyhooed missile defense test. Another interesting tidbit: Rep. Scarborough sits on both the Military Construction and the Research and Development Subcommittees. Scarborough has resigned and is leaving office in November, giving his family as the reason.

Dan Rocco
He died on April 1, 2002, in a plane crash in Gainesville, Georgia. He was an executive vice president at ChoicePoint, the firm that gained infamy with their faulty "felons" list supplied to Katherine Harris during the 2000 election in Florida. As a result of this list, thousands of voters (mostly African-American voters) were wrongly identified as felons and purged from the rolls.

The Bush Administration has tried to cover up their close ties with Enron, and while they have succeeded to some degree, at least with our major media, sites like The Daily Enron present the truth.

J. Clifford Baxter
Found dead in his car, shot in the head. Mr. Baxter was vice chairman of Enron Corp. when he resigned in May 2001. Enron has been hot copy lately with the revelation that they were the largest campaign contributors for George W. Bush. Was J. Clifford Baxter a potential witness to Bush foreknowledge of their wrongdoings? His death was ruled a suicide.

James Daniel Watkins
His body was found on December 1, 2001 in the Pike National Forest in Colorado, a gunshot wound to the head. Mr. Watkins was a consultant for Arthur Andersen, the accounting firm for Enron. He disappeared on November 13 after he left work. He was described as a devoted family man who always called home if he were going to be late. Officials initially said that the death was suspicious, but have changed their tune and have ruled his death a suicide.

Jake Horton
He was the senior ice-president of Gulf Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, a cohort of Enron in the energy industry, and a major contributer to the Bush agenda. According to reporter Gregory Palast, Horton knew of the company's appalling accounting practices, and "... had no doubt about its illegal campaign contributions to Florida politicans - he'd made the payments himself. In April of 1989 Horton decided to come clean with state officials, and reserved the company jet to go confront company officials. Ten minutes after takeoff the jet exploded.

Charles Dana Rice
He was the senior vice president and treasurer of El Paso Corp., an energy corporation swept up in the recent energy scandal. Two months after the "suicide" of Enron executive Clifford Baxter, in the midst of questions about the accounting practices of El Paso Corp., Charles Rice was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head. His death was ruled a suicide.

Jack Delaney and Ted White
These young men were killed when pilot George H. W. Bush abandoned his plane when it was hit by enemy fire. Much has been made of this story - Bush propaganda would have us believe that he was a hero. An eyewitness to the event tells us otherwise: Chester Mierzejewski, who was the turret gunner in another plane, had an unobstructed view. He states that he saw a "puff of smoke" come from Bush's plane and quickly dissipate. He states that the plane was never on fire and that Bush never attempted a water landing, which was standard procedure, and which would have given Mr. Delaney and Mr. White a chance.

Gary Caradori
He was investigating Lawrence E. King, Jr., a very influential black Republican who was also a friend of George H.W. Bush. King was director of the Franklin Community Credit Union in Omaha, Nebraska, and was suspected of embezzling $40 million. The Nebraska Senate questioned child prostitutes, who accused King of running a child prostitution ring. One of these children said that she saw George H.W. Bush at one of King's parties. "Pronto", a newspaper in Barcelona, Spain, reported that the scandal "appears to directly implicate politicos of the state of Nebraska and Washington DC who are very close to the White House and George Bush himself". Gary Caradori claimed that he had evidence that supported these allegations. On July 11, 1990, Gary Caradori was killed along with his 6-year old son in the crash of his small plane, after a mid-air explosion, the cause of which was never discovered. He had told friends repeatedly in the weeks before his death that he was afraid his plane would be sabotaged.

Orlando Letelier
He was torn to bits by a car bomb on the streets of Washington DC just before he was to testify against the Chilean dictator Pinochet. After the bombing, CIA Director George H. W. Bush told the FBI that there had been no Chilean involvement whatsoever. In 1991 the post-Pinochet Chilean Supreme Court asked George H. W. Bush if he would submit to questioning. BUSH REFUSED.

Ronni Moffit
She was Letelier's assistant. She and her husband were riding in the car with Letelier when the bomb exploded. Mr. Moffit survived. Ronni didn't.

Bob Stevens
Mr. Stevens died of a mysterious case of anthrax. He worked as a photo editor for American Media, who owns the National Enquirer. The Bush family suffered enormous embarrassment at the hands of the Enquirer when they published a photo of daughter Jenna Bush, obviously intoxicated, cigarette in hand, cavorting on the floor with another drunken female.

Don C. WIley
Dr. Wiley disappeared November 15, 2001 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was attending a two-day annual meeting of the scientific advisory board of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. His work on deadly diseases such as ebola and HIV raised fears of a terrorist kidnapping. Four hours later, his rental car was found on a bridge, raising the question of suicide, which his family vehemently refuted. Dr. Wiley was found a month later in the Mississipi River.

Salem bin Laden
In 1979 Bush business Arbusto Energy obtained financing from James Bath, a close family friend. Bath had extensive ties to BCCI and the bin Laden family. Bath was the sole U.S. business representative for Salem bin Laden, the brother of Osama bin Laden. It is well known in certain circles that the Arbusto money came straight from Salem bin Laden, although Bush denies it. Salem bin Laden died when for no apparent reason, he flew his airplane into power lines where it became entangled, and fell 150 feet to the ground. "He was a very experienced pilot. He was a good pilot. We just can't understand why he decided to go right instead of left," recalled airstrip owner Earl May field.

John O'Neill
He was Director of Counterterrorism at the New York offices of the F.B.I. until he resigned in August 2001. One of the world's top experts on Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda, he grew to believe that "all the answers" regarding what they needed to destroy Al Qaeda lay in Saudi Arabia. However, starting in January 2001, Bush blocked all efforts by Mr. O'Neill to investigate Saudi ties to bin Laden. In the summer of 2001 O'Neill declared that the main obstacles to his investigation were U.S. oil interests.

In late August, a frustrated O'Neill quit the FBI and took a position as head of security for the World Trade Center. From Democrats.com:

September 11: On O'Neill's second day of work on the 34th floor, the WTC is hit by the first plane. O'Neill makes it out of the building safely, calls his son to say he is OK,. then goes into the other tower to help guide those still inside to safety. Minutes later, O'Neill, along with hundreds of others, is dead, killed by the terrorist the Bush administration refused to allow him to pursue to the best of his ability.

Thomas Morris, Jr.
Mr. Morris was a postal worker who died October 21, 2001, of inhalation anthrax. When people expressed concern to the current occupant of the White House about the anthrax cases in New York and Washington, his response was to tell us not to worry, that he does not have anthrax.

Joseph Curseen
Mr. Curseen died October 22, 2001, of inhalation anthrax. It has been reported that the anthrax infections since September 11 are of the same strain that was kept in a military facility.

Kathy T. Nguyen
Ms. Nguyen died on October 31, 2001, of inhalation anthrax. But we shouldn't worry - George W. Bush remains anthrax-free.

Katherine Smith
She had been implicated in February in a phony documents scheme said to be related to the September 11 hijackers. One day before she was due in court, she was incinerated in her car after having hit a utility pole. An investigation revealed that the crash was minor and was not the cause of the fire that burned Smith beyond recognition. Who was really behind 9/11? Was Katherine Smith privy to that information? Why did she have to die, and who killed her?

Nixon's crime's would be considered a felony actually mutiple felonies so to compare that Clinton as a bit of a stretch. Although, Clintons act of perjury (if he would of been convicted ) is considered a felony. More than likely Nixon's crimes if the evidence had not been destroyed would of resulted in a longer prison sentence if you based each act on the guidelines of sentencing of state courts (although both would be considered Federal). As far as comparing Clinton and any other presidents pardons there really is not much difference, it's a party spoil and has been abused for years in reality mainly by DEMS such as FDR whom issued close to 4k pardons, but to hold the Republicans innocent of some party favor pardons would be a fallacy and as Kosar has pointed out the Iran-Contra issue is a good yardstick.
