If a person was so drunk that I'd be able to notice him/her driving erractically?

ABSOLUTELY I WOULD

There are a lot of people already that are legally drunk (.08 and above) that are driving perfectly. Clearly, there is no way to tell that they are "drunk" - as they do not appear to be driving impaired. Those folks are tough to "catch" - and I'm not convinced that they should be, if their driving is not impaired.

But if they are so drunk that they are impaired where I can notice it (weaving, etc), I'm calling 911 immediately. I've done it before and I"ll do it again - think of it as saving someone's life - maybe just the drunk driver himself, maybe the person he/she crashes into...

Did you mean to post this in general? I would definitely call 9-11 if I could tell they were impaired.

I most likely would. I also would possibly call if someone was endangering lives driving crazily and assholy in a SUV in bad driving conditions. It happens so often up here, in snow and ice - I would guess it runs about 75% of the time, a traffic accident/slow down here in the Cities area is caused by a rollover big truck or SUV that think they are above the weather Gods, and drive the same as normal conditions.

Brings a MJ's poster to mind... ;)

one time I was at a 7 11 store and I saw this guy come out and he was staggering bad.

As I walked in I said to myself , talk to this guy , get his keys, call him a cab, call the police.

instead I said. .... are you ok ?

he said yeh and he got in his car and drove away.

I come out of the store and am heading about a mile or so and I see police cars and this guy had rolled his car over and it was in a ditch.

dont know if he died or not , I just kept going.

so my answer to that is yes, I would never let that pass me by again. I would fight him for the keys next time. Throw them on the roof of the store, anything to keep him from going.
