If Bush lied about IRAQ - why did John Kerry say this?

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003 -G'Town Univ. (right before the Iraq invasion)

Kosar this is in response to you critisizing the Iraq invasion in my global warming thread. Would you or any of the other crybaby Mj's liberals like to explain your candidate's "lie"?

Is this the latest justification for the invasion? 'John Kerry agreed with it.'

I could care less what Kerry, Bill, Hillary or anybody else said. There is only one person who is responsible. Well, actually a group of about 10.

And here's one more thing: you and freeze can post quotes from the whole democratic party, but I don't think i've seen a single quote that referred to a full-blown invasion, or trying to convert them to democracy or nation building.

It wasn't just John Kerry who said it Kosar. All of your hipocrite finger-pointing liberal heroes on Capital Hill said that we needed to "disarm Saddam" and that he did indeed posess WMDs.

Do I have to quote all of them also??? (Don't invite yourself into that landslide of embarrasment :) )

Besides....You couldn't answer the question could you? I'm shocked.

So instead of a "full blown invasion"...are you telling me the democrats only wanted a "half-blown invasion"?? Wow that is a desperate and totally bullshit statement Kosar but I didn't expect anything better from you. That was actually pretty darn pathetic lol. Maybe the funniest thing I've heard you say all year.

Hands down you are the easiest person on MJ's to debate with. It gets boring. :mj07:

I rest my case.

As I mentioned in a thread yesterday(which you must of 'missed'), Bush blatantly lied about Saddam trying to acquire uranium. He KNEW it was a forgery and still used it, in a State of the Union address no less. There is one example.

Kerry and everybody else obviously trusted that the president had done due diligence and actually had evidence beyond the ominous pictures of balsa wood planes and of open air utility trucks that were supposed to have been used as WMD launchers.

And as far as 'disarming' goes, that does not necessarily mean an invasion, occupation, trying to democracize a ME country and nation building.

Did you follow that thing in Kosovo very closely?

Do you see the difference?

So all those other liberals trusted the president??? It's all Bush's fault?? LOL!!

I can quote you 2 dozen quotes of liberals saying the same shit BEFORE BUSH WAS EVEN IN OFFICE!!!!!
Here....let's start with this gem....

"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton.
- Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, others, Oct. 9, 1998 |

Now try to blame Bush. :mj14:

or yet another...

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
- Sandy Berger, Clinton's National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

Did you even read the quote that you just posted? 'Air and missle strikes.'

Heavy air strikes in 1998 would have been a good idea. Occupations right after 9/11/01 was not.

I've seen that list of quotes. Between you and freeze it's been posted here 15 times.

If you can, please acknowledge that you see the difference between air strikes and what we're involved in here.

So after the air and missle strikes...what would have been their plan?? To just leave 25 million innocent people in rubble? Pack up and come home. NICE LOGIC. THE MIND OF A LIBERAL IS PRICELESS! Funny, I always thought the liberals were compassionate. Guess not anymore.

lol Kosar you don't have to answer my questions bro. I'm just having some fun with your distorted little liberal mind. I find it utterly halarious to see you try and dig your way out of stuff. You're like a puppet on a string lol.

"the bunker"
britain still stands by their contention that iraq was trying to buy whitecake uranium from niger.....and the congo...

depends on whether you believe britich intel or a discredited partisan in joe wilson.....

the truth is that the dems, along with the administration....along with the intelligence agencies of france, germany, britain, russia and israel all believed saddam was either making or trying to procure chemical, biological and/or nuclear weapons... he obviously had chems and biological weapons...

where`d they go?...for the umpteenth time.. ...did they disappear?....were they destroyed without telling the inspectors?.....that makes no sense at all....considering the heat that was on saddam..

that`s what the intel said....period...

which leads me to beleieve that it`s not a stretch to believe that something`s buried in the desert or is sitting in syria....

Yeah, every last trace of them is buried in the desert or got whisked away to Syria, probably by that Russian special forces unit that swooped in. Man they're good.

And once again i'll ask(and once again get no response): who cares if they still had them to begin with? Wtf was the urgency at that exact time?

GW, do you think he had been contained for the 12 years prior to 2003?
