and Obama has more delegates going into the convention, how would the democrates be able to justify to all those wanting to see a minority get a shot? Save all the bashing as I would like to know if this does happen how does the party explain it. I do not see this happening as I do not believe they would put themselves in that position, and I also think they want obama more anyway. But if it does happen it sure seems the party thought to be "for" minorities would have some splaining to do. Clinton releases tax returns
Posted: 04:06 PM ET

Clinton had been under mounting pressure to release her tax records before the Pennsylvania primary.
(CNN) ? Hillary Clinton released her tax returns for the years 2000 to 2006 late Friday afternoon, ending weeks of speculation over her delay in making them public.

?The Clintons have now made public thirty years of tax returns, a record matched by few people in public service,? spokesman Jay Carson said in a statement. ?None of Hillary Clinton's presidential opponents have revealed anything close to this amount of personal financial information.?

The campaign said the records showed Bill and Hillary Clinton had paid more than $33.7 million in federal taxes on a joint income of $109 million and donated $10.2 million to charities over the past eight years.

The New York senator had initially said that she would not release them unless she was the Democratic nominee. But at a debate shortly before the March 4 primaries, she said she would consider releasing them "even earlier," though she did not name a precise date.

"I will certainly work toward releasing them, and we will get that done and in the public domain," said Clinton.

Later, she pledged to release the documents by this year's April 15 tax filing deadline. But ten days ago, following Obama's decision to release his tax returns of this decade, and attacks from his campaign over Clinton's delay in making her own public, she announced that she would release the returns within the week.

The Obama campaign's criticism centered on Clinton's decision to lend her campaign $5 million earlier this year, along with former President Bill Clinton's $20 million payout from supermarket holding company Yucaipa.

In conference calls with reporters, Clinton campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson accused the Obama campaign of unfounded negative attacks over the delay, noting that there were "20 years of Clinton tax returns in the public record."

The tax returns are the second of three batches of documents Clinton has come under pressure to release. Her scheduling records that date to her time as First Lady were released late last month. The list of major donors to the Clinton Presidential Library has yet to be released.

Just follow the money for the answers.

I can see how she relates to the little man.

Now we know why she took so long releasing the records. 109 million . how do you check accuracy on something like that ?

Time for a change in Washington. Too many favors , too little time.

As heiress to her father's stake in Hensley & Co. of Phoenix, Cindy McCain is an executive whose worth may exceed $100 million. Her beer earnings have afforded the GOP presidential nominee a wealthy lifestyle with a private jet and vacation homes at his disposal, and her connections helped him launch his political career ? even if the millions remain in her name alone. Yet the arm's-length distance between McCain and his wife's assets also has helped shield him from conflict-of-interest problems
............................................................

Lets she , Cindy is worth 100 million and the Clintons managed that in 8 short years.

the 30% to charity helps keeps taxes down , not they are big philanthrpers.

The real eye opener is Billy making 52 Million for speechs .

What that speech crap boils down to is big business getting him to events and paying through the nose. Influence peddeling.

It never ends.

Big money runs this country . We got to change that up. There will be alot of pissed off people if Bill doesnt get back in the white house . They need him there to make things work out.

Dj there is a big movement here in PA were the republicans are changing their registration to democrat to vote for Hillary. The redneck element of my state, these wonderful patriots, are showing just why are political system is so screwed up and why corporations will always be in control. By the way DJ for some reason the shows i watch at midnight are changing time slots so i rolled over to Hannity and useless the other night. The new love these wonderful neocon patriots have for Hillary is a wonderful thing to watch unfold. Hillary's recent blunder about sniper fire has caused her to take a hit in the pollls. Hannity only like Hannity can do, said that it was a shame that a tiny thing like what Hillary said could hurt so much. He even put his fingers together as in making the tiny sign. Now if she already had the nomination this piece of shit would be all over this (sniper fire)like flies on shit. What a wonderful patriot he is along with everyone who works for Fox news. Not sure what is worse the scum that works there or the gullible and naive that swear by it.

If Hiillary gets the nomination our only hope to defeat the neocons would be if Obama chose to run as a third party. I am not sure if he is a secret neocon or not but I know Hillary is. If the neocons are successful in stealing the nomination for Hillary then they will put themselves in a no lose situation come November.

it`s possible that obama will have more delegates..but,clinton "may" end up with more of the popular vote...

if you remember, dems were outraged that gore received a larger popular vote in 2000....and railed about wanting the system changed to reflect the popular vote......so "the people' actually made the choice....

and the fact that hillary`s winning practically all the large states(the ones the dems will need to win to garner the whitehouse)...... obama`s winning alot of smaller republican states....based on the screwy dem primary rules that place more emphasis on "districts".....

the more i look at this, the more i like mccain`s chances vs obama....obama will be new and young, but they`ll pound obama`s shaky associations and his inexperience....

the media will run interference for obama...much like they`re doing now against hillary....and that`s a huge advantage...because the majority of americans actually know little about politics in general...

there is a difference between switching parties when everyone is still running and switching parties when your canidate has already clinched it and you just want to be an asshole. People who switch Republican to vote for Paul wanted Paul to win. People now switching to democrat want Hillary to win so they can vote against her in the general election. This is what we call a scumbag. I see you crying for fairness for Hillary just like the rest of the sheep who watch Fox but guys like you don't understand that once again you are being played a fool.

Before this spins totally out of control let me try to ask one more time. If Hillary is given the Nomination and Obama has more Delegates going into the convention, how could the Dems explain this to blacks in america who vote overwhelmingly democratic because it is the party "for" minorities.

see panel #8......

again...if hillary has the "popular vote".....and the super delegates see her as having a better chance at defeating mccain, then, there you go....

as i said, she has the "key states" that the dems need to beat mccain...

it`s still a long way to go...if hillary wins by double digits in pa......wins indiana...is somehow they decide to count florida and michigan(how can they not?....why wouldn`t moderate dems in florida and michigan vote moderate mccain in november to protest their disenfranchisement?)......

and who`s to say more stuff won`t surface on obama....you have to read his book to get the full oomph of his racial resentment....

From a Hillary supporter (one who will ignore Wayne's ongoing Drudge-like dredging of all things Clinton in this thread for now), I think Wease is right on the money with his assessment - and it does present a problem for the Dems. Hillary is certainly strongest in the states that will be important - if not required - for the dems to carry in November. Although I am not black, I certainly think that the nomination process should include a frank look and discussion of which candidate has a better chance to beat the opposition party candidate in the election - otherwise, what's the point of the process at all?

I still think, however, that whichever dem candidate does win, the people who support the other one will probably vote for the dem nominee - when push comes to shove, which it might.

Hopefully, the dems will keep their eye on the ball and realize the big picture of what a President is responsible for directly - which is nominating judges, and establishing quality cabinet members and suggesting policy is one of the last important things, IMO. The judge thing - especially the Supreme Court over the next few years - is extremely important to the balance of Power and what the country will stand for in the future. I think this is as important as anything, other than maybe communication, personality and public image - which does matter a lot.

Its called cunning. If he was so good he would not need people to resort to this kind of garbage. Here is a noble idea. Why not vote for the person you think will do the best for the country and stop the games?
I will say this if MCCain and Obama are the ones who represent the parties and McCain wins, i will go the YYZ route from here on out and stop wasting my time voting. You neocons win. When they create a party that i can support then i will jump back in. I won't support your party the dirtbag party and i won't support the spineless party which is my party. As hard as this will be for me i may have to finally become a neocon and try to make money from the misery of others. I will just take all the mirrors out of my home because i won't be able to look at myself unless you middle class neocon nitwits could give me some tips. Only the democrats could think of running a black man, a woman and eight other white guys. A recipe for disaster. That blowjob :nono: paved the way for the disaster we have now. And people like you who want to continue this disaster are just lovely to live with.
