I don't see what you see so funny. Even the Repukeagains demand something like 1100 delegates not a simple majority. It just so happens that McCain will have that many going into the convention. If he didn't there would be a lot of in fighting going on. Perhaps you remember Ronald Regans first run. He lasted until the convention. Made a good speech and got nominated the next time around. Just the fact that you are so surprised that the person with the most delagates going into the convention doesn't automaticaly get the nomination shows how you have been brain washed by the Corporate Press. And GW, my friend, it is you who has your head buried in the sand if you can't see it.

I find it funny because instead of addressing the whole purpose of the thread you choose to take shots at Repukagains, the Corporate media, and any one else that is not of your mindset that must have their heads in the sand:jerkit: You speak of the convention process in technical terms and ways that I will promise you most blacks in america couldnt give a shit less about. What they will see is another case of "the man". If this happens (as it very possibly can) then I would imagine a lot of the dems black base would be upset, no? Maybe they will accept your "thats just how it is" argument since it is dem on dem, but I doubt it.

Take a good look and then ask yourself, if I where BILL Clinton why wouldn't I screw around. She looks crazy to me.
..............................................................

its not that she looks crazy, its she is a tyrant.

When Billy was president and on trips in Air Force one , everyone would be having a good time , until Hillary boarded the plane. Tension, no fun time, cut the air with a knife.

I am sure that if Obama goes in with the most delegates his supports will be upset. I am also sure that if Hillary has the most delegates her backers will be upset. They will be upset the same way conservatives were upset when McCain won the Republican nomination. But they seem to have gotten over that. Don't try to pretend that you are in the middle. Funny thing I don't see any posts where you get on anyones case for speaking of a Liberal Media? Kind of funny you being such a down the middle kind of guy. Actually I don't know what the funny pictures of Hillary have to do with the premise of the thread either. But I am sure that is just an oversight and you were going to mention that. :nono:

Hillary Clinton Says Bye-Bye to Indicted Trial Lawyer
Bad news for trial lawyers, and bad news for Bill and Hillary, too. Famed Mississippi plaintiff's lawyer Richard "Dickie" Scruggs, who was slated to host a Clinton fundraiser next month, was indicted yesterday for allegedly trying to bribe a state court judge. The indictment comes a day after the FBI raided his office looking for a document, and two days after Scruggs' brother-in-law, Trent Lott, announced his resignation from the Senate.

When the FBI first raided Scruggs' office, Lott said the timing of his resignation was just a coincidence. But you do have to wonder. The indictment is pretty damning, and includes apparently taped conversations between the judge and some of the other lawyers involved in the alleged scheme.

The indictment will no doubt have other political fallout. Scruggs is a high-profile figure, having just used his private jet to ferry the new University of Mississippi football coach to Oxford hours before turning himself in to law enforcement authorities. He made millions off the state's lawsuit against the tobacco companies in the 1990s and has been leading the litigation against insurance companies over denied Katrina claims, including Lott's. Scruggs has been a generous Democratic political donor, particularly in Mississippi, where he used some of his tobacco winnings to found a now-defunct PAC to help elect liberal candidates to state office.

But his political loyalties have always been a little suspect, and not just because of his in-law status. This year, for instance, he has given nearly $30,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and several thousand dollars to Joe Biden. But he's also contributed to Republican John McCain. Next month, Bill Clinton was scheduled to headline a fundraiser for his wife at Scruggs' Oxford home. Not surprisingly, today a Clinton spokesman tells Mother Jones that the event is "not happening."

McCain once again demonstrates that he?s no straightalker when it comes to the issues that are most important to this country. He makes sure to get the whole Basra/ceasefire incident completely backwards which only undermines his credibility as a foreign policy man. Is he even following the fighting in Iraq? It was Maliki that went to Iran and then asked Sadr to broker a ceasefire.

Olbermann: ?that Sadr had only called for the ceasefire after members of Maliki?s government asked Sadr to do so in a during a secret trip to meet with Sadr in Iran.?making McCain wrong about the facts on his signature issue, making Sadr not Maliki the victor in this conflict by McCain?s own reasoning. And making Iran and not McCain and not the US the mediator of choice for Iraq?s two top Shi?a factions. The Maliki government and the Sadrists.

Think Progress has the transcript and more:

McCain: It was al-Sadr that declared the ceasefire, not Maliki. ? With respect, I don?t think Sadr would have declared the ceasefire if he thought he was winning. Most times in history, military engagements, the winning side doesn?t declare the ceasefire. The second point is, overall, the Iraqi military performed pretty well. ? The military is functioning very effectively.

Unfortunately this guy scares me also. :scared

Let me see if I can dig up some dirt on Obama now to even things out.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton's chief presidential campaign strategist is quitting his post amid criticism of his public relations firm's contacts with the Colombian government over a pending free-trade deal, Clinton's campaign announced.

Mark Penn will continue to advise Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

Mark Penn and his political consulting firm will continue advise the New York senator's Democratic presidential bid, but Penn will give up his job as chief strategist, campaign manager Maggie Williams said.

"After the events of the last few days, Mark Penn has asked to give up his role as chief strategist of the Clinton campaign," Williams said.

Penn is CEO of public relations giant Burston Marsteller and is president of Penn, Schoen and Berland, his political consulting firm.

Friday, he acknowledged he had met with the Colombian ambassador to the United States earlier in the week in his role as Burston Marsteller's chief to discuss the pending U.S.-Colombia trade pact, which Clinton has criticized on the campaign trail.

Penn called the meeting "an error in judgment that will not be repeated," and apologized. That prompted Colombia's government to fire the company Saturday, calling the remarks "a lack of respect to Colombians."

Clinton and top aides were sharply critical of rival Democrat Barack Obama in February when reports indicated that his top economic adviser had suggested to a Canadian official that Obama was not as supportive of changes to the North American Free Trade Agreement as the Illinois senator claimed to be on the campaign trail.

Penn said Friday that Clinton's opposition to the U.S.-Colombia pact, which the Bush administration is trying to push through Congress, "is clear and was not discussed" during his meeting with the ambassador. And Clinton spokesman Mo Elleithee said Penn's meeting was "not in any way done on behalf of the campaign."

But Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell -- a key Clinton backer in his state's April 22 primary -- suggested Sunday that Penn needed to go.

"I think you've got to make it very clear for someone who is a consultant, who you are representing and who you are not representing, and I would hope that Mr. Penn, when he talked to the Colombians, made that clear. And it doesn't sound to me like he did, and that's something the campaign should take into question," Rendell told NBC's "Meet the Press."

Sources in the Clinton campaign said that Penn realized this weekend that he needed to step aside, and that Clinton was disappointed that he had met with the Colombians. E-mail

So your stance is that it is no big deal and it doesnt put the dems in a bad position at all because the black base will be fine with obama being pushed to the side with more delegates in favor of clinton. They wont mind because they understand the process and thats just how it is. Is that about right? Not trying to put words in your mouth but since you have yet to really answer I can only assume. As far as middle of the road goes I have never claimed that I stood directly in the middle, but one thing is for sure I am not the extremist you are. I am what the majority of americans are, either moderate dem or rep. Not that any of this has anything to do with the thread, which I thought was pretty simple. You are right about scott though, his pictures have zero to do with the topic but we both know that is his MO, why bother all your going to get is another picture.

Yes, I am an extremist. That is true. We need more than a little fine tuning to turn this ship. I find both sides to be a complete sham and a disgrace to all things American. How will the blacks take it? . The Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons will claim it is because he is black. I also think the Corporate Press, which has already planted the seeds, will not disagree. The Dems are a mess and have been for years. I will not be upset if McCain beats Hillary because I consider them to be the same. With Pelosi and Reed the Dems are just neocon puppets anyway. They talk a decent game but their actions speak louder.

well there are much more important things to be thinking about
Conspicuous Consumption -- Face Bank
The Face Bank lets you put your money where its mouth is. Wave a coin in front of the bank's eyes (actually light sensors), and it opens wide to swallow your loose change. Afterward, it looks so pleased that you half expect it to emit a contented belch. The thing would be even cooler (and creepier) if it spoke with the voice of Vincent Price -- but alas, no. the $50 bank is available in eight colors and textures, from lemon yellow to brick red.
