I wonder how many LSU alums agree with you on thie Spurrier pick. Seems to me there is not as much fuel in the tank since he left Florida. I think Petrino would be a stellar choice.I like these:
Peterson
Spurrier (Age 62, but I'd take him and rumor is he wants to come)
Petrino
I do not know who their next coach will be but I do know this...it will NOT be Spurrier.:nooo:
Peterson seems to be the rumor of the day, but Cie is not the only LSU fan/follower who has brought up Spurrier......he is not out of gas at all, but I think he realizes the uphill climb at South Carolina......he would take LSU in a heart beat as one last chance to truly compete for a national title.
Dont see Spurrier at TAMU at all......but I have no inside info, just a hunch...
Depending on the timing of any move, dont discount Bo Pellini simply being elevated to the HC.
Petrino? How many jobs is this guy going to have before is career is over? Nevertheless, a real good college coach and innovator, in my opinion.
Pellini would work for me. He can leave the offense to Crowton and hire a DC and him and the DC could work on the defense. They wouldnt miss a beat.
i couldnt disagree more...pelini is not the right man for the lsu job...i can promise you one more thing, LSU isnt going to hire a man that has never been a D1 head coach:nono:
They have to post the job for 10 days. There couldnt be an announcement Monday but nice try.
AM wont pay Tubby's buyout nor $4 million a year. Unless something very significant changes Tubby isnt an option. You need to quit listening to bogus rumors started by Aggie fans on the internet.
spurrier aint giving up his membership to augusta for a job in college station, i can promise you that...dont be surprised if LSU offers tuberville IF miles goes to meechigan
