new england needs this game....and has an axe to grind to boot(after the season opening shutout).............buffalo sucks on ice on the road...i think it`s possible that the pats shut out buffalo...

then,k.c.,with little to no motivation, lays 10 to chicago with dick jauron needing every possible win he can get....and anthony thomas.....i think he ran 32 times last week....

k.c. is laying 10......after the pats beat buffalo, this line probably shrinks to 8...maybe less.....

at the very least, you have an interesting teaser...n.e.-2...chicago+15- or 16....if you bet `em flat, you may have a shot at a decent middle in the second game....

something to think about....

I remember last yr all too well.. dont recall the exact lines but SF was pretty hot end of last season-- they traveled to ST Louis and St louis wasnt playing that well from what I remember.

To make a long story short-- SF jumped out to a decent lead only to pull all starters and eventually had 3rd and 4th stringers in there-- St louis ended up winning and covering.

Most coaches wont risk injury-- there is just too much on the line.Marv Levy was famous for bagging the last game.He wanted to go into the playoffs healthy.

I will bet a lot of coaches will do that this yr... heck Carolina did it last week. Some need to win-but they dont need to win big.

Tenn is banged up pretty good--if Tampa has any gas at all left they should cover the 7 against Tenn 2nd team.

Even if these teams get ahead they will run the ball..run the clock and play a bit more conservative.

K/C fits this mold as well.. run Priest run.. run clock..book the W.

TOO FUNNY ...

GW..

I SAID THE SAME EXACT THING THIS MORNING TO MY FRIEND...

I AGREE ..

THAT TEASE LOOKS GOOD...

AND JUST TAKING 10 AT THIS POINT LOOKS LIKE A DECENT PLAY..

I DO HOWEVER THINK...CONTRARY TO MANY THAT BUFFALO DOES NOT GET BLOWN OUT ON SAT....D IS TO GOOD...

I agree with the KC/Chicago portion at least. Kansas City should not be laying 10 points to anyone right now (except maybe Detroit and the Giants)....especially a Bears team that has become more focused -- with recent wins over the Broncos and Vikings. Yet, the Chiefs will want to get some measure of respect back after the shellacking they took last week.

As far as NE/Buffalo goes -- this one is kind of like those college rivalries, where it really doesn't matter what the records are. 8 points is a lot in my opinion for a game that is going to be played in extremely cold conditions -- it could be a 6-0 type game. I actually went the other way and played a 6.5 teaser with Buffalo getting 14.5 and Philly even.

i understand taking the prohibitive points in the teaser.....but,i really think motivation for the bills is a big???....

that first game was an embarrassment for the pats.... and gregg williams should not be a head coach in the nfl.....

the 1st game was attributable to the milloy situation...he knew every nook and cranny of the pats offensive and defensive schemes...i`m sure belichik won`t be caught with his pants down twice in a row...and with so much on the line....

throw in that stiff bledsoe, and i couldn`t take the bills with your money........

but,it`s the nfl....anything`s possible...

10 is too much in the first place. If Pats win Chiefs will try to get Priest the record breaking touchdown and will likely sit down all the marquee players on offense.

Even if the Pats win like they should.......KC still needs to win the game at least for the 2nd seed and a bye week dont they ????

If they dont win the game and Indy beats Hou then Indy would move past KC for the #2 spot ......So KC might not cover the 10 but I also dont think they can take it that easy either .....especially against the Bears with the way they have been playing ......

Yeah, KC is guaranteed a 1st round bye already .... Vermeil has been hedging this week about what he will do if New England wins on Saturday .... he says they are planning on playing as if it means something, but I think he is smart enough to realize Sunday's game proably won't mean anything as far as playoff position goes .... however Chiefs need a big dose of confidence and will have 2 weeks to rest after this game .... interesting prop I saw on this game (at Olympic) is Bears team total for 1st half is only 7 1/2 .... seeing my Chiefs on defense lately that looks like an easy over.

Not Funny!!! It's beautiful weather here in foxboro:D , I live 20 minutes the gilette(sp). mid 40's 10-15 mph wind. excellent day for a pats blowout. Bills quit @ hm last week and don't care if williams is gone.

Pats + over in a tease.LARGE

teans usually don't like entering the playoffs on a negative note. i think, no matter what, vermeil will play this game to win.

it`s still very early

it`s still very early

but,it looks like belichik and the pats came out a bit pissed off.....

this team really spreads the ball around....and smith is running with authority vs a very good buffalo defense....

maybe they need to run a little more here....brady just took a shot to the knee....belichik needs to ease up on the vindictive stuff...just control the game...

as usual, bledsoe looks like a stiff...he has to play better as the game progresses...

nice call on the Pats GW! With home field advantage sewn up, they have to be the odds on favorite to win the AFC. I should have listened, but I still managed to end up in positive territory with Philly and a little on the Seattle moneyline.
