Blame the BCS and letting computers decide. Congrats to OU and LSU winner, they will have a split NC if USC beats Michigan. Simple as that.

USC is not playing in the "contract bowl" rather the Championship game that is recognized by most of the public as well as the longest running, most prestigious college football poll in the country (AP Poll).

3 of USC 4 OOC opponents were bowl teams last year. AU was top 5 pre-season ranked team. Playing @AU and @ND is not easy any year especially opening the year @AU with inexperienced QB and backfield (oh yeah, they were top 5 preseason nationally). Do not make yourself sound stupid. If you read my post, it said SCHEDULING!

OK homer, I won't make myself sound stupid and I'll present the facts to you. When it comes right down to it USC had very easy strength of schedule this year and that is why they are not in the National Championship this year. Justifiably so. IMHO, Oklahoma and some of the other big 12 teams would smoke them, and Michigan has a good chance to beat them outright in the Rose Bowl. I know that you must be a very BIG USC fan and they are a great football team with a great program. However, I feel I need to set you straight because I read your posts all the time touting them like they are the greatest football team ever.... At first I just laughed but once I realized how serious you are I just got annoyed with you....

My posts are dead serious. In addition, no team in the nation would smoke USC. Sorry. I am alway wagering 80% of my winnings this year on USC -6 and -6.5 over Michigan. So no, i am not just blowing smoke. If you posters hate USC now, your really gonna hate USC in the future.

My biggest play of the year will be on Michigan + the points; USC has shown time and time again they play well against their weak ass conference but then fold when they play quality competition. I will take the BIG 10 champ any day of the year over the PAC 10 champ. And any team that gives up 475 yards passing at HOME to a very average Or State team with the NC game on the line and now face a very potent Mich team that actually plays defense. The 6 points is just a bonus. I will have even money on the moneyline as I should easily cash both. Carroll should be sucking OU's $#@! for losing or they would not be playing for crap. And if you watched the Kstate USC game when Mike Williams dropped those passes it might have to do with Kstate's defenders but that is the homer in Scott he never gives credit to the other team just makes up excuses. Too bad USC wont have any excuses when they get exposed.

Hello earth to homer, people recognize the BCS Title Game as the game deciding the official national title. We might hate the system but as of this time, the BCS IS the system & the winner of the BCS Title game is the champion, END OF DISCUSSION.

Sorry, if I am not mistaken, i think i started this thread. :D

Looks like we both have our biggest plays of the year on Jan. 1st. Only difference is I am putting 80% of my winnings on USC. Which is more than just biggest play of year, it is my biggest bet of my life. I had to use 3 sportsbooks for this wager. Good luck on the rest of your bowl plays, but i am very confident your going to lose on Michigan.

Sorry to disapoint you, but the only way there will be 1 champion this year, is if USC loses.

Unless Michigan beats USC, USC is at least guaranteed a split NC. Therefore your statement is false.

USC is not playing in the "contract bowl" rather the Championship game that is recognized by most of the public as well as the longest running, most prestigious college football poll in the country (AP Poll).

The NCAA has the BCS system in place to determine who is the national champion in 1-A football by having the #1 vs #2 teams face off. The winner of this game is the NCAA's official champion since it is tied in with the BCS.

The AP is on its own & could choose anyone they want. Ask coaches, players, etc what title do they aim for? Their answer at this time will be the BCS Title since that is the recognized title by the NCAA.

End of story...

Why would you have to spread $1,000 over 3 sportsbooks; doesnt make much sense. You are making yourself look more and more stupid keep it up its funny. :nono: :nono: :nono:

Where did I say it was $1000 spread out at each sportsbook? Your right, a post did make someone look stupid, but not me.

Scott try and catch the sarcasm; I know you are small time and apparently not very bright. Let me spell it you you probably only bet 1k so why would you spread it out over 3 sportsbooks.

Scott, although it is your business, I have to say betting 80% of your winnings on one game (especially a game that you are so tied to emotionally) is a good way to turn what might be a good year into a barely acceptable one. Since you have already done it, good luck to you. 80% of an unknown number might not be that big a deal, in retrospect, but if it is a big number...sheesh.

I personally have a great deal of respect for Pete Carroll and how the USC program has turned it around. But rooting and wagering should be kept separate for success. In my opinion.

Again, good luck.

Could not agree more with you.

EYO's Chadman

Thanks for your post and advice. I really appreciate it, and i am well aware it is POOR MONEYMANAGEMENT. 3 years ago I was up big for the year, and i bet all my winnings on USC over Utah in Las Vegas Bowl and lost. It was good bet, the problem was I did not realize how poor the USC OL was at the time and UTAH exposed it badly. Tip my hat off to the Utah coaches (funny thing is they are not there anymore). That year i did not win nearly as much as this year and now i am an even better handicapper. My last big NCAA football loss which hurt my account was ASU vs Iowa (i had ASU big). That was something like a 30% play. I have this bowl game covered in all areas and feel very strong about it.

If i happen to lose (which def. can happen), I still have 20% winnings, and it is a lot of winnings. I had a great year capping so I am still happy to be up even if i lose USC BIG. USC should win by 13+ points.

Once again, your advice is excellent advice and thanks for sharing it. I appreciate it.
