If the election is decided and over on November 2nd, it will be a miracle.

The Democrats and the Kerry campaign believe that Al Gore made a mistake four years ago in not immediately claiming victory in the presidential election (despite the fact that he hadn't yet won it.) sKerry has decided that no matter what the election result is, they're going to claim victory, and even announce a national security team. In other words, the Democrats are going to try and steal the election. Again.

sKerry's campaign also says it will have six 'SWAT teams' of lawyers ready to go to any state to contest the outcome. They don't intend to respect any result. By what voting margin will they concede defeat? 5 points? 10 points? Are they going to follow their playbook they gave to the race warlords and claim voter intimidation? Will they invoke the 2000 Bush v. Gore decision about Equal Protection under the law?

Man...I just can't wait to get this over with already.

Huh? Were you paying attention in 2000?

I do agree that this may not be settled for a good while after 11/2. It won't just be because of democrats though.

There's nothing wrong with putting states on notice that they aren't just going to bend over this time.

Basically just indicating bewilderment that someone could have come away after the 2000 election with the opinion that the democrats tried to steal the election. That's funny.

I always thought it was Gore who tried to steal the election by trying to selectively recount heavily Democratic counties in a vote-hunting scheme.

Add it the fact that GW won every recount...seems simple to me how I came to that conclusion.

I guess I could see that. You just have to overlook the fraud/misconduct/imcompetence that went on here and blame the people trying to get it right. It's weird that with every recount, the margin got smaller.

So how many recounts should we have had to get things turned around? 3 more? 5 more? How many recounts is enough?

There were too many recounts in 2000. The whole thing turned into a joke. But this, of course, is the reason they are pre-emptively trying to protect themselves. Gore won Florida, but that's the way it goes. It's still puzzling how one could consider that 'trying to steal an election', considering he's the one who arguably had it stolen from him.

Everything's lined up for a repeat of the 2000 circus down here. The diebold machines. The four different voting mechanisms used around the state...etc.

Both parties have there 1000 lawyers ready to go. Yes just think even the republicans have over 1000 lawyers ready for field work. This tells me they do believe there in for the fight of there life.
A P today Kerry 49% bush 46%
Approval rating on how Bush is doing his job, 48%. No sitting pres has won with less then 51% approval rating.
So maybe this will be closer then the run away some folks think.
Ohio now over 800000 new registrations 8 to 1 Dem's. But they still have to vote.
Iowa now Bush. Minn looks to have gone Kerry. Wisky we are all even. We can tell it. Both are coming back again this weekend and next week. Clinton to speak in Philly. If there one guy the Reb's still fear it's Clinton. Forever what reason people listen and believe what he says. I know DTB doesn't. But the over all public does.

Yes Chan, there were no voting irregularities down here and the whole thing was based on the dems trying to steal an election.

To Bad Gore for his own good gave up as nice as he did. I understand when you did get final count he won Fld by almost 1100 votes. Is that correct.

4 years later and you desperate liberals are still whining about the 2000 election! I guess I'd do the same thing if my political party was a bunch of whining, crying complaining finger-pointing losers :142smilie

Democracy is an endangered species.

If a group has the ingenuity to manipulate the outcome of such an important decision, then perhaps they are, indeed, most worthy of such an important position of power.

...absolutely"

I agree....I just heard on the news that over 1,000 Florida residents have illegally registered in 2 different states and a lot have already cast 2 votes. This is a felony, I hope they get nailed.
