The Pistons to win the NBA Championship right now. I got them yesterday before the game at +875 and they are down to +425 and that is still great odds. This Detroit team is the best team to come out of the EAST since the Pacers 5 years ago. Everyone listens to the talking heads and believes that the East can't compete against the West. That is complete bull. Top to bottom the West is way better but Detroit is the kind of team that can give the Lakers trouble. They are the San Antonio Spurs with more offensive punch. They have the best coach in the NBA and , some how some way Rasheed is buying in to what Brown is selling and that has been a great pick up for them. The Lakers are the best team in the NBA when they are clicking but they won't be able to turn it on and off against DET and there is no way the Lakers should be a 4 or 5 to 1 FAV against DET. Detroit is not the NJ Nets of the past two years. They will not just be the sacrificial lamb to the WEST.

DETROIT PISTONS win NBA title at any odds you can get them at before Lakers tip off tonight.

I am not making this post to be brash of get attention. Detroit is just that good and getting no credit.

The Under in the Lakers game tonight will be a good bet too.

TJ Bell is know Pinnacle is a sharp book but I think that line is ridiculous. I really think if by some chance Indiana won the final 2 gms of this series, they could at least take the Lakers to 6 games. Both these teams in the EAST are better than any EAST team the last handful of years. It is all the media trying to convince us the East has no chance. Of course the WEST is better but these two teams are no slouches. I've even heard idiots say that DET could never beat SAC or DAL or MIN or SA in a 7 game series. Indy and Det are good teams that are rightfully underdogs to the West but have much more than a long shot chance.

Let's Eat, scoring averages are deceiving. DET just plays that style of game. They don't care if they score 80, 90, or 100. They will shut you down on defense. SA can't score if Duncan isn't on. Ginobili and Parker are not great scorers. They are great parts to a team, but not scorers. DET can get points from Billups, Wallace, and Hamilton and I don't think Ben Wallace gets any where near the credit he deserves for being a presence in the middle. Thanks for the feed back and I enjoy hearing different opinions :)

Finals Game 2,
Under 169.5

It looks like excuses and rationalizations are coming from every where to explain the Lakers performance in G1. Fact is they were simply outplayed. Detroit has controlled the tempo in pretty much every single one of their play off games. LAL to their credit has had some solid D efforts after a play off loss. I think G2 is going to be more of the same. Most road teams get content with a split in Game 1 and 2 but this Pistons team seems different. I don't think Brown is happy with a split because he knows they are capable of winning both now. All the pressure is on LAL. At very worst, this will be another slow down game. Odds say the Lakers tie the series up but this one will stay close and low scoring again.

Pinnacle,
Lakers to win the series -102.
I will gladly take a small hedge and guarantee myself a free risk at the Pistons winning the Championship. Even though I think the Lakers are absolutely done, smart bet is still to hedge to at least get my risk back. I know people say Lakers play their best ball when their backs are against the wall but this series has shown the Lakers are just a 2 man show and that 2 man show was good enough to win against weak East teams the last five years but now that an East team is actually good, Lakers look incredibly average. Small hedge just to be safe though;)

For one night, I will toot my own horn and then be done with it. :D Congrats to all the guys who backed the Pistons to take down this laughable, overrated Lakers team. I know there are a couple guys on the forum who also capped DET to win. Great job boys.

Glad I jumped on this +875 during the Pistons and Pacers series.

As my thread title said, "IF U LIKE $$$$$" then you will love the Pistons at these odds.

OK I am done. No more horn tooting but I am a happy man. I would never ever rub it in to another bettor but my god watching some people chase the Lakers throughout the series was puzzling. What were they watching?

My horn tooting will end at mid night :D and then I will humbly get back to more handicapping.
