Guys, i sold my vacuum and sewing retail store two months ago, but my manager who bought my store just got a beautiful machine from a estate sale thats around 3-5 years old and retails for 7900. It's a mc11,000 model number and has all instructions and updates which were added a year ago. Has two big books, its has all available accessories, and it is a computerized sewing and embroidery machine, and it's a Janome which is the best machine money buys. He said the first one to pay him 3400.00 ownes it. Thought i would share because i know this is a great price for the best machine money buys. My manager just serviced it and does'nt believe it ever really was used,no scratches and would be a great b-day or christmas gift. He said he will ship it to you for free.:0074

Let me know if you have any interest !

Arrow,
This post isn't to piss in your Cheerios.... but my significant others mother (who basically has a triple PhD in the sewing field) says that the Janome machines are garbage and they can't give them away when someone trades theirs in on a Bernina machine. I didn't look myself but apparently the machine you speak of is available online for less than 2 grand.
Hope ya sell it. :toast:

your not pissing in my cheerios but you have bad info. Janome and Bernina are both at the top of the sewing machine list. Your wife has 3 phd's in sewing, and i have 24 years of selling them. Sounds like shes partial to Bernina myself and they too are a great machine. and you may have seen a very used machine for that money but this came from an estate sell where the lady may have not sewed a whole lot concidering she was very old and the condition of the machine where my manager serviced it and could'nt believe the condition inside. Plus it has the full addition of updates where the used ones on line probably don't they were put on a year ago, so she spent a lot of money on it to not use it much.

thats good info and that would be right on 6k because they always come down around a dime to 1500 a few years down the road. Like i said its 3-5 years old but in new condition with the updated attachments bought last year.. It's well worth what my former manager is asking. I have serviced these machines for years and only two types of women own them. Professionals who use them for work, and well to do ladies who just have to have one to keep up with the jones , and most are grandmothers who are looking for something to do and never use it after the first few months.

Arrow it's not my wife! One generation later than that bud. You are correct though... she is partial to the Bernina machines. Not only does she sew, she works for probably the biggest sales producing Bernina sales places on the east coast. She sells them, does demo seminars, teaches classes, hell they flew her to Switzerland recently.
Actually when I saw your post I contacted her to see if this would be a good "buy" and given the fact that you seem very passionate about the Janome machine.... I had better not repeat her response. :sadwave:

I had the exact same thought. Flip it on ebay.

Same numbers - the ones for 2k are the only ones being bid on, and there's a good number of bids on them, but the ones listed for 6k have no activity.

Retailing for $7900 is a stretch.
I'd be a buyer at about $1700, which I am sure your buddy would pass on.
