well

well

I had the exact same thought. Flip it on ebay.

Same numbers - the ones for 2k are the only ones being bid on, and there's a good number of bids on them, but the ones listed for 6k have no activity.

Retailing for $7900 is a stretch.
I'd be a buyer at about $1700, which I am sure your buddy would pass on.

If your not in the business what you don't know is the attachments and add ons for these types of machines are hundreds and even thousands of dollars depending what your needs and marketing is. This has everything, even the updated add ons from a year ago.

Rotten Tomatos Movie Review:

Sewing Circle (1992)

Kembra Pfahler (best known for her insane performance art where she would crack paint filled eggs on her vulva) teams up with the Cinema Of Transgression's finest filmmaker, Richard Kern, to make this little number. For seven minutes the viewer is forced to watch a woman (for no apparent reason) get the lips of her vagina sewn closed. And that's it. The film ends. Richard Kern is seriously one of the boldest filmmakers that ever was. His work is so subversive and unapologetic that it almost forces you to have respect for the artist. Some would disagree, but like Richard Kern and his films I will not apologize. It is what it is. As a viewer I like to be challenged, and Kern's work does nothing but.

Arrow or anyone else with knowledge in this field:

If you have any good resources or deals for an Industrial Sewing Machine let me know. I forwarded the product number of the machine you started this thread about to someone in the market for this sort of thing.

Their response was "Nope that is a computerized one which is expensive and useless" (for his needs)

Thanks! :toast:

Because I am not in the business, doesn't mean that I don't have someone in my immediate vicinity that is.
It was a realistic, market priced offer. My apologies for not wanting to put a premium on the price simply because it is linked to you.

I recently dumpster-dived an old Singer fly wheel stand. The wheel and metal components are in good working condition but the wood top and cabinetry is beat up and needs some work. Can anyone tell me if it is worth my time to try to restore or should I just try to pawn off the wheel portion? TIA :0008

I have one that sounds like pretty much in the same condition as yours. I thought it would be worth something till I started looking on ebay.

I saw a couple fully restored that were in the $100 price range.

I still plan on restoring it but from what I've seen I'll probably have more in materials than it is worth.
