If you follow me, you are familiar with my rules for winning at IL. The team that wins game 1 wins series, look for home favs first, road favs second and home teams in that order. I don't play road dogs regardless. I broke that rule last time and it cost me as it should. Here's what round one looked like.

Favs--------------27-14
HF----------------21-11
HT----------------25-16
Team that won game 1 won series-----11-3

Totals went slightly under but usually will equal out for IL.

The Stl series is not IL so don't treat it as such.

You have 4 teams that are undefeated, two from each league. Cinn (3-0) and the Mets (2-0 didn't get in the third game), Bos (3-0) and CWS (3-0). Teams that havn't won are SF, NYY (0-2), Mil who is not playing, and Cle. Odd about the match-up today. The winning teams are playing winning teams and losing teams are playing losing teams. Bos and Cinn are both undefeated while Cle (0-3) is playing SD (1-2). This statement only applies to the teams that have not lost or have not won, I haven't looked the other match-ups yet.

I will keep this thread going thru this round.

Good luck everyone

Last night looked like a IL night. Wish they all were that easy. Cinn, Mets, and CWS are still undefeated in IL. Bos isn't. NYY and Cle finally won. SF is still in the dog house. Here's how it went

Fav-----------------11-3
HF-------------------9-3
HT-------------------9-5
Totals---------------5-8-1

Today I'm looking first at home teams that won last night and are favs again today. I'm not interested in any of the losers unless they have way the best of it with the help and all my other stuff. As many HF's as there were that won last night gives me a pretty good list to start with. Again, I'll be very careful in playing a dog even tho there will be some that win.

I hope everyone did as well as I did. Good luck today.

In all the years of doing this, I can't remember when as many dogs won on a given night. Didn't look like IL in that respect but a couple of things are still consistant. Teams that won game 1 wins the series. There are already 8 decided. Here's how it broke down.

HT----------------3-11
Fav---------------5-9
HF----------------3-9
Totals-----------9-4-1
Teams that won game 1 wins series----8

That leaves 6 series up for grabs. The Mets have two games to play and are at this point the only undefeated team left. SF is still in the dog house.

After game 1 this series looked like anything but IL and I've been doing this for a long time. However, by following my rules for IL I came out in pretty good shape. Won big first night, won a little second night and broke about even last night. Here's what last night looked like and I've edited the second night.

HT--------------5-9
Fav-------------8-6
HF--------------5-6
Totals---------5-7-2

Teams that won game 1 won series---10-4

Here's how the series went

HT--------------17-25 (not like IL)
Fav--------------24-18
HF---------------17-18
Totals----------19-19-4

Oak, NYY, Wash, and Det swept, SF still hasn't won a game. There are no undefeated teams left.
If you looked for teams that won game 1, lost game two, and was the fav yesterday, you would have gone 2-3.

Next series should be different in some respects.

Good luck everyone
