for reasons similar to what Sam said in one of his last posts-

I post my plays, most of the time I do not have time for write ups- My posting my plays does not help my bank roll just try to help add something to the forum, everyone contributes in their own way.

It seems that nobody cares about the posts that just state picks and that is fine I do not have to do it.

I used to like this site a lot and it does not seem to have the same feel anymore. A lot of the old regulars are gone or do not post that often.

Hoefully things will change and I will come back -

good luck

I hope you decide to stay. If not, thanks for your input. If taking the time to post is hurting your handicapping, then by all means take some time off. Good luck to you.

Chenker, good luck. If you want to get my email from Jack, feel free to contact me. You and I have very similar handicapping methods I think, and seem to have experienced similar highs and lows during this difficult NHL season. I always enjoy your posts, write ups or not, and usually post my picks in your threads when I post them. What will i do now?? :)

Good Luck

Good Luck

Good Luck with whatever you decide. Handicapping, in the end, is a very personal thing...Just you against the Beast! That said, I think everyone in here gets a comfortable feeling, knowing that a regular such as yourself is checking in every day. Take care.

Hmmm, I don't like the way this is going :(

Everyone posts there own way, and that's fine.

I for one read the posts of the people that I value opinions on, weather they have write ups or don't have write ups, to each his own. I know who put's time and effort into their plays, I don't need see the reason why, if they do then I might see something I missed and that's great, but I don't put any weight good or bad if someone gives a write up or doesn't.

Hope you stay Chenker, feel free to e-mail me any time also.

Take care bud

When people post, it would be nice to know if they feel strongly about their pick or not.
Sometimes people make a play just for the $$$ line-
That is just fine-
But it would be nice to know how people feel-
We can all do the homework on the rest-
If I feel strong about a game, I run about 75%
If I don't, I run 35-50%
But once again, the $$$ line makes a big difference in my play

By the way,
I use VIP Sports and Sportsline.com for most of my info-

Does anyone have any other sites they like?

Also, Sportswire.com is a good site to get scores from quickly
They update scores about every 15 minutes
- just click Refresh on your browser for updates
Sportsline.com is another place to get scores and they update scores even quicker but sportswire.com has a nice, easy to read layout

Ditto...Center Ice.....Write ups are nice and all......BUT......just give the picks is a okay IMO.......helps build a consensus.....like yesterday a lot of good cappers were on Washington......so I went a long......As you can see in my reply to Stag yesterday....trust me I read 'em all.....this is the most I've ever said in a post....FWIW....;)

Just a few thoughts...

As always, up to the individual if they want to post just plays or include analysis.

I will look at both, as long as the person who posts just plays keeps an accurate record, which Chenker did.

I always looked at his threads as part of my 'capping process along with many others here - i think there are more very good 'cappers in this forum than in any other.

I absolutely love and devour wigs and terrray's threads - i don't get to see a lot of NHL in NZ so all their info, thoughts etc is like gold to me.

I haven't been posting here for a wee while either. 2 reasons - a) I felt my threads were getting passed over so wouldn't be missed much, and equally importantly b) a lot of my plays are based around much of the info that had already been posted here by other cappers - no pt rehashing that.

I have been posting plays elsewhere recently - and thanks to u guys here, winning at a good rate.

Read here everyday and wouldn't miss it.

Continued GL to all and Chenker - your call on what you want to do; will miss you if you guy but understand how u feel.

Cheers fellas :D

my thoughts ...

please, post just your plays if you wish!
that's just fine for me and it's much better than no post what-so-ever from YOU!

they are NEVER passed over.

Chenker you do what you want.

I THINK YOU ARE GOING TO MISS THE BEST PART OF THE YEAR.
Seconf half is on, our stats are all sharp as we can work on 50 team games or so.
We now know each other pretty well in here and that is part of what make it easy for all. I use your post in my work and if you go i'm gona miss them.
I always consider you like one of the group and believe me your picks have hight valu in my book.

I do write does long writte up and sometimes i just fall a sleep when i reed myself back. It open the door to feedback but does not make me a better caper for that. From the comments i just read i think you will know by now you are appreciated...so why go...take a brake and see you in a couple:)
In all du respect, its your decision
I dont always post my pick but sometimes i feel like you do and thats not a good feelling. From time to time i take a brake, come in here to read and write a friendly note and thats a miracle cure.

Good luck

Chenker good luck whatever you decide. enjoyed reading your posts.

I have not been posting much hockey, just above even, and lately more pushes or losses to empty netters than I can remember, so trying to get on a streak. this is a very good hockey forum

by the way Anders hope you post your picks, as when you did here I always looked at them.

thanks
