Baseball seems to get more sloppy every year, and the last few days of spring training have shown me that few teams are ready for the season to start.

With 10 games today, i would expect to see about 14 errors.

Maybe Petey could start a contest on this?

14 errors on Monday, and 12 Tuesday.

I expect that number to come down soon, but not today.

Teams are going deeper into the rotation, so I would expect to see more base runners, and more "balls in play".

These errors will continue today.

True, both days AVERAGED at least an error per game, but on neither day was there "an error in every game" which is what your original post said.

You are correct, Shrimp, but my point was there would be a lot of errors.

I fully expected an error in each game on opening day, based on sloppy play in the pre-season. The fact that there was not one in every game doesn't realy matter.

One of Monday's errors was later changed to a hit, so it was only 13, and I never made a claim about Tuesday.

The sloppy play was the point I was trying to drive home.
