I had over in the first half and over for the game

Lots of people are buying the middle or chasing the under it seems and taking under for the second half.

I'm not. The middle is not big enough..started at under 68..down to 67 now. I think the number will be right there. ASU will pick up the tempo offensively and attack the basket more. They have much more fire power this year than last. Illinois will slow it down but will still score points and run early in the half when available.

67 or 68 is the right number. flip a coin.

Thoughts?

tempting to go w/ the Under in the 2H. If Illini keep a big lead, I see Weber playing a lot of kids (more air balls from Jordan?).

He will play the bench again...but that just means more pts for ASU....I really think this number is about right. 67.

i'm going to steer clear. I still have the unit I threw out there for ASU +8.5 and the Under of 127, so that is possible to hit as well as my normal plays on illini and the Over.

Going to stand pat and hope for a great middle.

ASU will be worth a look to cover games against poor rebounding teams. They are athletic and as the season goes on I think will become more uptempo offensively. Defensively they play a mostly passive zone and force their opponent to shoot gaps or shoot over a contesting hand.

Illinios does not have good guard play. The will struggle against teams that play uptempo and pressure the ball handler. Their bigs are good, but their guard play is suspect. I think tonight was fools gold. Look to possibly fade them against Duke (even though Duke is nothing to write home about..but they will pressure the ball handler and they should hold their own on the boards)

Good luck

I agree w/ your assessment of ASU.

I think many people may see the big margin in this and be willing to play Illini as a dog against Duke. Could move the line enough to create some value on a Duke play.
