Better Passer: D. Williams
Better Decision Maker: D. Williams
Better Leader: D. Williams

Athleticism: Slight Edge to F. Garcia
Better Rebounder: F. Garcia

Defense:
Perimeter: R. Powell
Post: E. Myles
Perimeter Play: R. Powell

COACHING: PITINO

BEST PLAYER ON THE FLOOR: GARCIA

BETTER BENCH: SLIGHT EDGE (ILLINI)

TEAM DEFENSE: ILLINI

TEAM OFFENSE: SLIGHT EDGE (L. VILLE)

TEAM REBOUDING: ILLINI

I really believe this game is going to come down to Augustine, Powell, and Ingram. The guard play is essentially a ?wash? with Garcia being the best player on the court. I think D. Will and D. Brown are better overall players than T. Dean and E. O?Bannon. Illinois will simply have too much presence on the inside with offensive rebounds, tip-ins, and interior defense for L?Ville.

I see the Illini winning this game by 5-7 pts.

I think d. brown will guard t. dean. I agree your analysis is right on.
Illinois is a very tuff team to beat. When the opponent does not have a dominate inside game they are very difficult to beat. For ville to win they would need to shoot the ball extremely well, not out of the question especially considering recent results.

correct

arizona had the team to beat ill (and should have)
ok state had the team to beat ill
unc has the team to beat ill
utah could have given ill trouble
uconn could have given ill trouble

basically any team with a solid inside presence presents a tough match-up for ill

lville doesn't have that presence

GJN23,

I agree with the teams you mention. That is why if UNC beats MSU they should be able to beat the Illini. It is all about matchups.
