Okay, here's a vent:

Tonight, wife wanted to watch something on the dish so I used YAHOO and AOL for NBA scoring updates. They are not always that reliable, but how bad can they phuck up? I mean, how difficult it is to get scores right? Well, let me tell you.....

Tonight at about 8:35 I saw that Golden State and Atlanta had PRESUMABLY acored about 110 points in the first half. I fogot the score that was posted at each page, but it was something like 58-52. The 2H total was posted at 101. I immediately jumped on the UNDER and called in (get this) $2k for my partner (he's on a cruise). I noted that the game was slow paced and was watching other games. Seemed like a sure winner -- barring a disatrous 4th quarter.

Next thing I know, I'm looking at the score by quarters and it shows 62 POINTS SCORED BY BOTH TEAMS IN THE THIRD!!!!!!

What in the phuck happened??????

Obviously, my UNDER was blown away. Frantically, I tried to get the game on the dish to no avail. I'm absolutely furious that I saw a halftime score that was BLANTANTLY INCORRECT. Had I seen that both teams had only scored something like 84 points in the 1H. I would NEVER have bet an UNDER like that.

I'm not here to bitch so much as educate.

DO NOT TRUST THESE BS UPDATE WEBSITES.

That's the second time I have trusted the numbers at the site and lost my ass. First time it cost me $330. This time it was a $2100 kick in the groin.

You bet I'm pissed as hell.

Anyone else get burned?

er, yes.....

The total was 111 @ half-time.

65-46.

I don't think the stats had much to do with both teams going mad in the 3rd

Looks to me like that adds up to 86 at the half.
