CLEEEEAR!!

First of all, my heart felt appreciation goes out for all the well wishes I received last week while in the hospital. I am truly humbled by the outpouring of good will by the MJ community. Also, I want to publicly thank Mrs. Rattler for going above and beyond the call of duty and posting my games last week.

On to the games:

Ravens M/L L

The Ravens are banged up, especially in their secondary. They start today's game with only 3 corner backs healthy and a safety that will play corner. Looking at this at face value is alarming especially considering the way the Steelers just passed the ball at will against the Colts. Those of us that have been around the block know not to put too much consideration into what happened last week. Throw last week out and look at the 2 teams.

The Steelers have given up close to 400 yards per game in all 4 of their home games this year. Defensively, they are 21st in points allowed (24.5). The Ravens and Joe Flacco can exploit the Steelers defense by establishing the run and setting up the play action. The Steelers are 2nd to last in the league in 20+ yard plays allowed. That plays into Flacco's strength. Also, Owen Daniels should be playing today. Flacco is a different QB when he has a reliable TE to go to. Defensively, the Ravens are 2nd in the league in points given up (16.4), Big Ben will not have such an easy day of it today with Suggs and Dumerville breathing down his neck all day.

2 keys to the Ravens winning today. The Ravens front 7 must pressure Roethlisburger. When he has time to throw, he will pick anyone apart. When he is pressured, he is ripe to be picked. Secondly is turnovers. The Ravens have 2 or more turnovers in 3 games this year, going 0-3 in those game. When the Ravens give up 1 or fewer turnovers, they are a perfect 5-0. The emphasis all week in practice this week was for the Ravens offense was to prevent turnovers. Gary Kubiak drilled the shit out of the offense to eliminate the giveaways.

I fully expect the Ravens "A" game tonight. Despite how poorly they played last week they still should have won the game if not for "a ballsy call" by an officially on an offensive pass interference call. This of course will be a tight, physical game, but the Ravens, I believe find a way to win in the face of possibly being in last place in the AFC North

**Back shortly with the early card.

Miami -2.5 Win

It's hard to imagine the Chargers losing 3 in a row after their terrific start. For some reason, it appears that the Chargers defense has disappeared. This is a tough spot for the Chargers going to the east coast and playing at 1pm. They lost here last year as a 3 point road favorite.

Dolphins have one of the best pass defenses in the league, the Chargers prime method of moving the ball. San Diego cannot run the ball effectively and will find lots of struggles to score points today. Dolphins can get the ground game going against a Chargers team that has given up over 400 rushing yards in the past 3 weeks

2 Team 7 Point Teaser BIG PLAY Win

Arizona +8
Kansas City -2

-Sorry, I see no way in God's green Earth that Michael Vick goes into Arrowhead and comes away with a win

-No Romo, No blowout. The Cardinals are a tough, physical team with one of the best blitz packages in the NFL. The have seen plenty of tape on Weeden this week and will game plan to disrupt him. The Cowboys could squeak out a win, but I don't see it being by more than a touchdown. Truth be told, I like Arizona to win this game outright

I am also playing a small parlay with these 2 teams (Ariz +1/KC -9)

WELCOME BACK MR RATTLER....I HOPE ALL IS OK :0008

Yes sir. Going to be hobbling around, moving slow for a while. I contracted Mersa in my leg after playing full field soccer with my son and his high school buddies. I took a spill and cut my leg up. Of course I kept playing. Then 2 days later, I have a 104F fever and felt like death. Thought I had Ebola, LOL. Had to be plugged up to an IV in ICU for a week so that shit wouldn't hit my blood stream.

So, Mrs Rattler told me that's what I get for thinking that at 47, I can go out there with a bunch of teenagers.

Thanks for the good will bro. :toast:

Glad you are on the mend, Mr Rattler....:0008

I'm guilty of the same thing--only I help coach a bunch of AAU 8-15 yr old wrestlers. Its tough getting down on the mats with those kids these days...
At 50, I don't recover as quickly or as completely as I used to....:mj07:

Texans +3 - 125 L

I do not see the Eagles stopping the Texans running game. Also, Philly has been a turnover machine, coughing the ball up 12 times in the past 4 weeks. Houston will take advantage of that big time (8 take aways in past 4 weeks).

Minnesota -1 W

Just when the Redskins seem to be turning the corner, they go and fuck it up and put RG3 in there. I don't think the team likes this guy. They seemed to be rallying around Colt McCoy. I also think its a tall task to come off a huge emotional win at Dallas and be able to go into Minny and play well. Vikings play hard each week.

Welcome back but disagree. This is a fully matured and talented offensive line than the Ravens saw in week 2. And I expect Flacco to be under pressure and rattled by the Sunday night crowd. Cortez Allen will finally get the benching he has deserved. So the weakest link in the secondary has finally been taken off the field. If and I say IF the Steelers defense can limit big home run plays to the Smith's and force the Ravens to put together long drives then it's a big advantage to the home team. The loser of this game will have an uphill battle to get into the playoffs. :0corn:0corn

Afternoon Games:

Denver -3 L

Snow or no snow, Denver is clicking right now

Oakland +13 W

That's a lot of points to give a team that plays hard against a team that has struggled to score. Oak 3-0 ATS last 3 as 10+ point dog.
