Monday 4-8 for -3.54

Season record: 260-237 +41.73 units.

I have lost 2 grand in a couple of weeks and though I would like to blame interleague play, too much work, playing too many games of maybe one of you guys (how about you MJ), the fact of the matters is that I am burned out. I am not enjoying capping games and clearly have lost my focus. I have let my database slip and find myself guessing instead of doing the work.

I have learned a lot from several of you, Kevin, Exprapolater, IE, MJ, KC, Allnet and mnay others. I have also learned who to blow off and who to take seriously and it has nothing to do with how long the person has been a member or how many times they post. This is a great site and I am thankful; to Nolan for leading me to it.

I will follow a few of you guys and give appropriate credit when I do and I am sure I will make a couple of selections based on my gut instinct. But for the most part I will watch, read and seee if I can get the juices flowing again. this year I have won over 10K from what I have learned fro this site (along with a 5K parlay which helped), and I am not going to just give it back to the Man. I am cashing wiht the exception of a couple of tousand wich I will use to shadow some of your plays.

I will also continue to play the "Hottest Teams Parlay". I would be stupid to give that up considering how profitable it has been and the lack of time it takes.

Thanks to all and to you MJ for the site.

I still think your Tee-Shirt has the coolest Logo. It is hot and I get compliments everytime I wear it. Great designing.

Take care.

Bill

i know exactly how you feel. take a break, a nice withdrawl from your accounts, spend some time with the family, and then start slowly building up those accounts again. hell, there's no hurry. there's only 2 days a year when there's nothing to bet on

Snooze - You will be back, once you regain your focus. You have been an asset to this board. Take about 10 days away from MadJacks and dont even think about capping, sports, or anything related to gambling.
I think you will find your curiosity will start peaking, the juices flowing again. Then you will come back after the all-star game for a strong second half of the season.

Good luck...TT

From looking at your record you have done very well this year.I hope you used good money mangement when going on a losing streak.Maybe less games bet might mean more profit in the end.Don't pressure youself to cap a lot of games, you will burn out.Great players take breaks to air their heads out,and come back fresh with clear thoughts.Hope to see you soon Snoozing.GL

Well, I know how that goes, especially after interleague play. Ouch! I often take time off and cap "on paper" for a few days when things get tough. I must say though, you must not be too burnt out cuz you were right on that NYY/DET over last night.

I GOT MINE IN A CONTEST THAT JACK WILL THROW AROUND EVERY NOW AND THEN. LOOK FOR HIS POST. IT WAS A BSB CONTEST THAT FEATURED TOTAL RUNS SCORED INVOLVING ALL TEAMS AND I NAILED IT RIGHT ON THE KISSER. I DON'T THINK HE SELLS THEM.

what's wrong with laying low for a while?

i have gone 1-3, 0-4 and 2-2 the last 3 sundays, don't feel great about it, but the $$$ damage is minimal. interleague? maybe, as i have seen some completely unexpected (by me) results. i am barely on the plus side, but it will come around. i ain't changing nothing, except to be extra careful with my $$$$.

Bill,

Capping is a grind, and yes, it can wear on you at times. It's much more fun to do while your winning. Things to keep in mind to contribute to winning would be keeping the same bet size, keeping number of games played to a minimum as the more games you play the more the odds stack up against you, and following the same capping routine every day. It's human nature to slack on capping when your up cause you feel invinsible. I know the feeling and I know what followed shortly after. I gave the loot back to the man. lol.....Like MJ said, take a few days off and regain focus. Try capping a small amt of games and see if that makes it more fun for ya. Play only a game that has so much value that it sticks out like a sore thumb. Those things helped me become a winner. Hopefully we'll get you back before football season cause you don't wanna miss out on this forum come foots. Its red hot. I personally plan on taking a dump in your man's mouth too. I will not be happy until all bookies have to buy their jockey shorts at a second hand store.
