Never tried it, thought I would. Only thing is, I'm cheating.....store bought shell.


No one here bakes, so we don't have rolling pin, dough cutter, etc.

If it turns out ok, I would like to go ahead and make a scratch crust in the future.


(The filling is smelling pretty great about now!)

No, no......The guts were fantastic! I just used a little too many apples, and they 'popped' out the sides!

I think I am going to buy the tools needed to make the crust, and start making pies on a regular basis. It's fun!

Preheat oven to 375?F .Take pie out of box and remove wrap before baking.Open center hole on pie and cut 4 small slits in crust.Place pie on foil covered baking sheet.To prevent excessive browning join 2-inch wide strips of foil together lengthwise to encircle pie. Bend edges of foil loosely over pie crust edge.Place on center rack of oven.Bake 75 to 80 minutes until crust is golden brown.Carefully remove baked pie(s) from oven on baking sheet.Pie(s) may be served warm in 45 minutes or served cool after 2 hours.
