I'm not a writer by any means but this morning I woke up with thoughts in my head that fought their way out through my fingers and ended up being digitally recorded (or whatever you call it). Anyway, I thought I'd share..... constructive criticism only, please..... the Effexor has just started kicking in!

I AM THANKFUL!
I am thankful for having had parents who introduced me to faith, for it has sustained me through difficult times.

I am thankful my parents taught me to save for a rainy day and we were able to maintain through 9 months out of work.

I am thankful for my husband's patience, kindness and respect he shows me every day.

I am thankful that, through the unfortunate circumstance of unemployment, I was able to spend Christmas and other quality time with my mother in the months before she passed away.

I am thankful for my sister who has helped me recognize, respect and cherish our differences.

I am thankful she and her husband have let me share in the raising of their family, sharing their accomplishments and sorrows, filling that void in my life.

I am thankful for my extended family who are further proof of the bond of "blood" being thicker than anything else.

I am thankful for reconnecting with a few of my dearest friends whose lives haven't exactly been a bed of roses but are survivors through and through.

I am thankful for all of the others who have come into and gone out of my life, for you have helped make me who I am.

Today I give thanks for the good and the bad. I believe that it's all for a purpose even if we don't recognize just what that purpose is! May you all be able to reflect and feel the blessings of this day.

well said....

each of us have pitfalls, shortcomings, obstacles, blessings, and opportunites....

how we handle each and how it affects us is different....

always stay 'above the line'......

I'm thankful for all my friends and family and strive to make a 'difference' each dayl....

That's a mighty fine family you have:0074

Just came back from visit at my folks and I should be ashamed and will later regret that I only take time to visit on holidays.
