You get Peyton Manning on your team and you run the ball three times to the back-up RB (who is small anyway) instead of letting Peyton read the defense and throw a short pass for a first down which wins the game.

i think running the ball/clock was the right way to go..how does a db misjudge a flyball like that..on a 3rd and 3 with 34 secs left?? why was any wr allowed behind a db with NO timeouts..

I agree and I am a Bronco fan. Running the ball is the right decision. If you pass and the clock stops with a minute and change left then everyone saying they should have passed would be on here saying "OMG I CANT BELIEVE THEY DIDNT JUST RUN THE BALL."
The game had some terrible calls that really killed Bronco momentum on a few occasions. But that being said, all they had to do was play defense for under a minute against a team with no time outs. Rahim Moore made one of the worst plays I have ever seen a safety make.

Sure running the ball is the obvious, but how about a play action pass to the TE, that would have been wide open. 40 seconds off the clock is not that big of a deal when they need 7 which obviously they scored in less than 40 seconds.

Even if you want to agree that running the ball was the play, put that together with taking a knee with 31 seconds and two timeouts left at the end of regulation...after the touchback.

i have to think that manning`s unwillingness(or inability) to throw the ball downfield with velocity and confidence may have had something to do with it...i guess they didn`t feel the odds were that good that he could dink and dunk his way 55-60 yards downfield in a little over 30 seconds....maybe they figured the risk outweighed the reward given that our(ravens) field goal kicker is money anywhere around the 50 in the case of a turnover...
