imo,the chrgers should have kept brees

rivers may become a very good qb down the line.....but,most teams have a window for success....based on the salary cap.......

they won`t be good forever....and it was a long time coming for san diego....

they had the guy that knew the system...was very proficient in it...was a leader....and was still relatively young to boot....look at what a diference brees has made in new orleans...

brees is a top qb,imo...right now...

they let him go for a not-so-sure thing.... and someone that certainly doesn`t look comfortable yet in this system...and despite 2 years on the bench learning,it`s obvious marty`s still afraid to let the kid play.......

the steelers are concentrating on tomlinson...and they don`t seem to be worried one whit about rivers.....

...maybe i`m wrong...maybe i`m being unfair...maybe it`s marty just being conservative....

The Chargers hand was forced due to River's salary. They had to get him on the field this year...

all i`m saying is that i think they could have gotten just as much for rivers as brees...maybe more.....

and i believe he was cheaper to keep....

i have to believ that rivers would have been just as much,if not more of a hot commodity....

i`ve always liked brees....maybe i`m being unfair to rivers...

looks like marty let `im loose in the second half...and i have to say,rivers was impressive......

lets see if he can do it on the road.....

but,as i said...very impressive.....he certainly proved me wrong tonight....

the chargers are verrrry talented.....they should be undefeated...
