Just think a man needs a minimum of 5yrs...especially at a place that doesn't have much tradition/past success?...don't think color has anything to do with it.

Mike Sherman former Packers coach? That sounds like a really bad idea, but I like Briles

Yep.. He is now OC for the Houston Texans. Was a coach at AM before going to Green Bay. My Texans' contact says Sherman has been approached and is interested, but prefers an NFL head gig if he can get it. He actually was offered the Arizona Cardinals job but turned it down when he was nt offered full control.

When does IOWA get fed up with Ferentz? He is 16-17 his last 33. His teams look slow, disinterested and overmatched. He has really laost his mojo the last few years.

If Ferentz doesn't get rid of both coordinators this offseason, I will join the mob in wanting him gone, too.
Worst part of this season is I still have 3 home games left to go to. At least the beer will be cold and the ribs will be hot and dripping with BBQ sauce....:mj07:

Good grief...Croom has had too much time. This is 4 years. Is there any doubt that if he were white he would have already been canned?

Are you kidding? I don't think anyone realizes just how bad Jackie Sherill left that program. Croom will get the job done. He definitely has cleaned it up. I don't believe he belongs on this list.

Someone who should be added to this list is that fat a$$ Charlie Weiss. He's been there the same time as Ty Willingham and has GROSSLY underachieved.

Coach "O" at Ole Miss should be shown the door. Talk about a colossal mistake getting rid of Davie Cutcliffe a few years ago. Ole Miss has gone into a funk and had their a$$ handed to them in Oxford yesterday by another coach who will be fired at the end of the year Houston Nutt.

Hawkeye-

Same as they have been since Ferentz got here--Ken O'Keefe for the offense and Norm Parker for the Defense.
Parker has had some health problems--even spent most of a season coaching from the press box and still doesn't seem to be 100%.

O'keefe and Ferentz are best buds and have coached together forever.

Totally forgot until reading it today at the rivals.com boards that Ferentz had a less than .500 record coaching at Maine before coming to Iowa--and he "earns" 2.84 mil a year....

Rockies gonna win the WS? And are you going to go to any of the games?

So Cal
you mean the coach of the PAC-10 leaders?

Pretty sure that reaching the Rose Bowl is not grounds for termination

Your getting way too ahead of yourself.
UCLA finishes the season with
ASU , Oregon both at the RoseBowl then the cross town rivalry @ USC . If you think they win any of those 3 you clearly have not watched this Bruin team.

Keep in mind that they got smacked in the mouth by a injury bitten Utah squad and lost to N.D. UCLA was DD favorites in both games.
I think they lose in Pullman this week too.

I feel like the wheels are gonna fall off really soon.
K.Dorrell is too laid back to motivate this team.
He clearly lacks emotion on the sideline.

In my opinion, Dorrell should have been given his walking papers after losing to Notre Dame. Pitiful.
