SixFive,
You ask why a sports book representative is in here debating issues? Well, the purpose of my being here is to make players comfortable with Camelot and let them know that we are open to suggestions to better help serve our customer base. This process has worked very, very well and we received nothing but positive feedback from most of the players here. This is a formula that has worked extremely well for us at other forums, though for obvious reasons I will not name them here. Many players have expressed to me by phone and e-mail that they like the fact that Camelot participates in the forums and takes the time to interact with the customer base. If a large number of people share the view expressed here by you and "intimidator" then we will refrain from further interaction here. Just so everyone understands the history of our wagering options in auto racing...the only reason we added Cart Matchups and F-1 Qualifying Matchups was because it was requested here by a handful of posters from this very forum. Prior to our foray into Mad Jacks, we were not offering these two events and did so primarily as a service to the posters of this forum, which is why it is, at best, "ludicrous" to tell people they should be "warned" about Camelot because of this decision.
"Intimidator",
Let me get this straight because I'm having a hard time following your logic here...
You are saying that because we reach a decision to hire an auto racing expert to relieve me of those duties, then fire him after one week, that this indicates that players should questions our long term financial stability? You conveniently ignore the following:
1. We reached the decision to hire 1837 specifically because I did not have time to handicap a sport which represents about 0.1% of our overall volume. The decision to hire him was based solely on the need for a part-time employee who does nothing but auto racing. This decision was reached long before the decision to briefly drop the sport.
2. For reasons which should have been completely irrelevant to you and anyone else, and would have remained anonymous if not for his original post about the matter, a decision was made to relieve 1837 of his duties after one week. We CLEARLY state that the sports will return in a week or two once we find someone to replace 1837.
3. We offered the sports originally only per the request of some people from this forum and the VAST majority of books do NOT offer F-1 Qualifying or Cart race matchups. And we tell you that they will be back after a week or two.
4. Unlike most, or nearly all sportsbooks, we take the time to come in here and listen to the suggestions and potential criticisms of players. You will not find a book with more friendly or more accomodating customer service both on the phone or in these forums.
So in summary, I have no problem with you stating a complaint or making a suggestion, but to state that people should "look out for problems" with us or otherwise question our long term stability based on one issue when stacked up against the rest of the record...it's just grossly unfair, and any objective person who does not possess the "all books are out to f*ck us attitude" that you seem to possess would feel the same way.
