Prayers for all of you Jack; please drop me an email if you all need anything. My young granddaughter had some work done at Children's not long ago. Children can be so amazing.

bret baier(he`s the head of the news division at fox,i believe)has a son with multiple heart defects that sound as though they`re much more severe than what you`re dealing with(supposition on my part..not trying to diminish your situation...just letting you know that these tough situations can be dealt with)......

his son`s been through multiple surgeries and appears to be doing pretty damned well...

Cie very sorry to hear. But I can tell you from experience you all can make it through this and live a long prosperous life. My 1st born had open heart surgery when she was 10 months old for a hole between her left and right ventricle. Definitely the most tramatic time in my life. I know what you are going through. Cie this was 32 years ago. The technology and procedures they had in 1982 pale in comparison to todays advancements. The surgeon said he practiced tying knots in a match box and prayed to god every night to give him the talent to complete the task at hand. The hardest part was seeing my sweet baby after the surgery with all the chest tubes and machines attached to her litte body not knowing if she would make it. Today my daughter is 34 and has two children of her own. She still has a scar that is a reminder to her and us of how precious life can be. Cie children are very very resilient. Stay strong buddy!

Cie,

My prayers are with you and your family. I know exactly what you are going thru as my 11 month old will be having open heart surgery in a week to repair 2 holes. As you said, I am a complete mess over here too. I am trying my hardest to mentally prepare for that day (watching her wheeled away for surgery, anxiously waiting for hours, and seeing her after the surgery) but i really think its impossible. I will be sending thoughts and prayers to your son. Stay strong

I'll be thinking of you and Cie this week and next.
I hate to hear that you're both going through these difficult and stressful medical issues with your children. I pray that both surgeries are flawless and the hands of the surgeons are steady and accurate. Both of you keep us updated if possible. If anything, we can be an outlet for you.

Take care, guys.
