It won't be long until he is a wide receiver :0003I think I heard the commish announce him as a tight end!!!!
I saw the video this morning on Espn after he was drafted I wanted to puke, maybe he will get cut so I don't have to watch all year You bet your last dollar HBO will have hard knocks on the Rams this year that's a 100 percent chance
gw, I think your opinion of Mosley will eventually change....
lemme explain what`s going on here in b`more,my brother...
it`s not so much that I`m "against" Moseley...my issue is with the front office defending picks that don`t make sense with their "best player available" meme....the bpa schtick all started way back in the ravens` first draft when they took ogden over Lawrence Phillips....everybody and their brother knew that Phillips was bad news...it didn`t take much savvy to not draft the guy as the very first pick of a brand new organization...
the bpa thing is o.k. as a guide when you don`t have numerous holes to fill at important position....but in this case we chose a guy at a position in wnich we have two starters(one vet and one young guy drafted in the 2nd last year...the vet just signed to a 4 year extension) sitting on the roster(and several back-ups that have been on the team for awhile)....when we made the pick, the two best safeties in the draft were sitting on the board(the most elite players at the position...both definitive 1st round selections on practically every board, pryor and dix)...we ignored both guys(who were drafted almost immediately afterward).......
if you already have a position covered with an excellent mix of youth and experience, imo, you don`t draft another guy at the position when there are guys available(the best in the draft...the picks of the litter)at positions that are a crucial need.....it`s not like it was Mosley or the guy we drafted in the 3rd to be our safety(Terrence brooks)...we had the best safeties in the draft sitting right there...
we needed a top drawer safety and a rt tackle....we got a ?? safety prospect and no tackle...we didn`t draft a tackle....
we also needed a running back because ray rice sucked last year and will likely get suspended...and his back-up(Bernard pierce) is coming off of serious shoulder surgery...
when we drafted in the second round, not a single running back had been taken...we could have drafted the heir-apparent to rice in bishop sankey/carlos hyde/Jeremy hill or tre mason...instead we drafted another def tackle(a position at which we have Terrence cody drafted in the 2nd rd in 2010 and Brandon Williams drafted in the 3rd rd in 2013).....we also have one of the best starters in the league at the position in haloti ngata.....
this is the second year in a row in which we waited until the 4th round to draft an offensive player... well, not quite...in 2013 we drafted an ivy league fullback in the 4th(lol) and this year we drafted a blocking tight end in the 3rd from colo st...
the running back we drafted in the 4th had solid small college numbers but is a big ???...most services feel like his best chance to stick on a roster will be as a special teams ace....
our offense was horrific last year...yes we had some injuries...and yes we did bring in some old dogs to help(owen daniels and steve smith)...yes,it`s hard to fault the success the front office has had over the years..but lately,it hasn`t been very good and you have to judge the draft on a year by year basis...you can`t have consecutive years in which you stockpile picks at the same position while ignoring other positions of dire need...it just doesn`t wash...
we signed flacco to a huge contract, yet we failed to replace matt birk and anquan boldin last year....this year our mediocre rt tackle is gone(oher) and we didn`t address that position....we made a half-hearted attempt to fill out running back need....
lots of fans had a real problem with what we did to fill needs under the guise of "bpa" last year....the same scenario seems to be repeating itself this year...
hopefully mosley stays healthy and becomes solid player...if he does,he`ll sit another solid player on the bench and leave the same positions of need unfilled....
where we usually draft(in the mid-to-late 20`s) doesn`t normally afford us the opportunity to take elite players at positions of need(in this case the absolute best of the best players at two of those positions)..in both instances, those players were swept off the board almost immediately after we passed on them...
personally,i`d give my eye teeth to trade drafts with san fran...they addressed almost every one of OUR needs(particularly early on)...http://www.ninersnation.com/2014/5/...ults-meet-the-san-francisco-49ers-draft-picks
lots of fans are very unhappy...I hope newsome and eric dacosta somehow prove them/us wrong...:toast:
I don't understand all the love for Logan Thomas by the analysts. Just cuz he's big and strong doesn't mean he's good. As a minor Hokie and Cardinal fan, I can't seem to shake this guy. He's been nothing but awful in game performances. Terrible accuracy and decision making. I just don't get it.
Wow gw !!
I don't know what to say....
I have been a die hard Giants fan for many years & I have learned to let the pros handle the team....For instance some Giants fans are worried that the Giants didn't have a legitimate tight end before the draft & don't have one after the draft....My thought is that maybe none of the tight ends that was available didn't meet the Giants drafting criteria & I think something will be done in due time....
Ozzie has a very good track record so I would have faith in him if I were you....

I agree with the smurphster...
I wouldn't go public with this if I were you....
Me and Weasel thick as thieves lately. Lots of agreeing. The political forum kept us at odds too long. Someone needs to burn that forum to the ground. :0008

yeah, but it was always disagreement born of reciprocal man-love.....same with kosar....back in the day when we could vehemently disagree in here one day, take a midol and come back the next and have a laugh together.....
my how things have changed...
Agree....At one time it was a very enjoyable forum....
I was down there once or twice this year & didn't like the vibes so I stopped going there....
It's no country for old men, that for should.
I don't know how to take that....
