AGEECEE AND CIE

a guard andy alleman from akron

cie what can u find on this guy?

Strong, hard worker it appears...........

Andy Alleman
Height: 6-4
Weight: 302
Position: Guard
College: Akron

Alleman is a throwback to the days when guards like Dan Dierdorf and Conrad Dobler of the old St. Louis Cardinals punished defensive linemen on a regular basis. The former Pittsburgh defensive end is a strong, powerful athlete, who left the Panthers program after the 2003 season. The Pittsburgh staff wanted him to continue playing on the defensive line, but Alleman felt he was a better offensive guard. He transferred to Akron, where former Pittsburgh assistant coach, J.D. Brookhart, had taken over as the Zips' head coach in 2004.

Alleman proved right, as he quickly established himself as one of the best drive blockers in the Mid-American Conference. Known for the intensity of his offseason training regimen, he set numerous Akron lifting records (465-pound bench press, 595-pound squat). His workouts also got him named by ESPN.com in the spring of 2006 as one of the nation's "workout freaks."

4 year starter, not invited to combine.

Usama Young

CB from Kent State

5'11" 196

NFL Scouting Report

Good size ... Great speed and athleticism ... Tremendous workout numbers: 4.39 for the forty, 43 inch vertical, 10'11" broad jump

somebody on the nfl network said that this is a steal for this guy to be taken in the 3rd round....

for you saints fan....

here is a grade of the saints draft by somebody from mnbc website......

New Orleans Saints
After hitting home runs with Reggie Bush (first round) and Marques Colston (seventh round) last year, the Saints went for the long ball again with Tennessee wide receiver Robert Meachem. Big, strong and very fast, Meachem will become a star if he can upgrade his route running skills. The Saints went for need with their selection of Kent State cornerback Usama Young in the third round, but he lacks special qualities.
Grade: D+

Has a Grade for Det?

here you go steve...

Detroit Lions
The selection of Calvin Johnson should give the Lions an elite receiver. Of course, they thought they had taken big-time playmakers when they selected Charles Rogers and Mike Williams. Johnson has the size, strength, speed and hunger to dominate. Drew Stanton can hop on the bus to get from East Lansing to Detroit. While he has size and athleticism, Stanton lacked consistency and great arm strength while playing for the Spartans. Defensive end Ikaika Alma-Francis of Hawaii and safety Gerald Alexander of Boise State are average at best.
Grade: C+

my rant is why haven't the steelers drafted a CB? Instead they go out and draft a punter....:scared

i thought & hoped that they would go after a cb with the 1st pick....because they got the guy (timmons) i wanted the giants to draft. but yeah i think pitt. is weak at corner
