deet just doesnt have any offense and Spurs D is rugged, so i dont see much hope for this to go more than 5 games ... what do you guys think?

rip/cb 2/9 thus far

Gino has a 2.5 rating, unreal--- and 5 assists with 3 mins left in half

spurs have live everything

Horry is amazing to me, Hubie loves everything about him, and somehow recognizes his intangibles ;)

I vented in the wrong game thread.

See below. Detroit is playing like they don't care on the defensive end. I never thought I would see that.

i agree with you there, but going as far to say that spurs are going to close it out in detroit, i thought, was a little far fetched, being only game 2 at the half.

Sexlexia...
At the risk of sounding like a whinging tosser... (and no, I haven't got any $ on this game or the series)...

I don't think I've ever seen a team get screwed more by the officials than Detroit tonight!

Right from the outset, the very touchy fouls they called on Prince (nothing in it at all), then Hamilton (who both get 2 in the first quarter), then at the other end Ben Wallce and Hunter both nearly get knocked over on drives for no calls.

The foul on Ginobili at the end of the first shold have been more than just a foul, as it was called not for the bump, but for him trying to put the knee into Hamilton as he got up.

The tech on Rip was a joke.

I understand these refs trying to take some control after a physical game 1, but a) Game 1 was great to watch. Love tough d, and b) THERE'S 2 TEAMS OUT THERE!!!!!

Frustrating to watch!

Having said that, you can't expect to win too many games missing FT's and lay-ups at will.

gino for playoffs 1.782 rating

todays rating 3.375

the rest of spurs and pistons had a 1.07

I have no way of checking but i wonder if any player ever had 3xs the rating of the rest of the players on the court that was a starter in a finals game or even a regular season?

gliding to MVP as of now, make lotsa americans eat crow (if you arent one of them, then dont get in uproar, just know many people who put down most foreign players, their future is coming fast tho, check out how many for 1st rd. these days)

respect the Pistons and brown, etc--but they dont have the pop to stay in series, rip is 7/21 and 5/15--thats Bowen, they cant win without 3 players having big games and they arent versatile enuff depth wise to hope for a miracle in that regard

Things could change in Detroit. This is the most focused I have seen San Antonio, however. Detroit at it's best was an offensively challenged team. I am not trying to flame, just stating they are dependent on their defense. Nobody on their team can get easy shots.

I am surprised that Ginobili has been able to get the hoop as much as he has. It was the key in the 4th quarter. I agree with Pt. Gard on Bowen. He may be the best defender in the NBA and Rip or whoever else he is guarding is not going to get easy shots.

R. Wallace had nice moments on both the defensive and offensive end, but he is not consistent. I am impressed on how well he defended Duncan, tonight.

If Parker and Ginobili continue to get to the hoop, it's good night, Detroit. At this point, you would have to say that is likely to happen.

i agree coug LJ things could change in detroit but the pistons would have to make some serious adjustments.
the spurs look to darn strong.
the system pop has on both sides of the ball is consistently run to a T.
plus when your offense is suspect like the pistons are ,it does not help when your playing the against the best defense in the game
my opinion is they might get 1,the spurs looked to freakin good in game 2 for this series to turn in the pistons favor.
enjoy the rest of the series :)
