Comm'on Blitz! Patriots are a great team and i respect that but jesus christ! It happened against the Vikes and it's happening here tonight. Now another Challenge. Winter had to make up for his fuck up!

1st off i do not have any $ on this game. Pats defense is WAY overated-Good #'s due to a soft schedule. The officiating is simply dreadful tonight

Let's see if the Patriots can continue their "magic" with the officials and get a fumble overturned here..

saw Vince coach when I was a Kid several times vs Cowboys when I lived in Dallas and he was like this incredible aura/force, almost mystical being to me; yeah i was a kid but damn even i respected and feared him from stands, we had good seats and i watched him stalk sidelines even in Xgames he was pissed ... my dad was in his 40s and feared him ... his players feared him .. I watched him closely as a kid and to this day there are only 2 coaches to me ... Vince and The Wizard ...

theres a great BIO on him out i read a couple years ago, LOMBRADI; sadly, he was not a good family man

Gregg, with all due respect, I don't know how aware you are on the negotiations regarding AV. HE was asking for more than double what the next highest paid kicker was getting paid. He was holding the Kraft Family up, that's why he is regarded as a greedy pig in New England. A hall of frame kicker, but greedy. The whole Patriots philosophy is nobody is bigger than team. That's why Brady is like the 6 highest paid quarterback,

blitz you are right on the taunt, my only thought was ref thought he was tossing ball at Colt ... but even with that, didnt kill a drive, Brady did that with pick

shamrock,

didnt know the exact facts so thanx for filling me in, but he is the best kicker i might have ever seen and i woulda paid him, and to be honest im sure it will cost the Pats large at some point; I have pats like i said to win SB and it pissed me off they didnt settle this... curious, what did he want?

you and blitz better not be in room at sametime ;)

And he had more than earned it. And he is probably worth double any other kicker. Good grief it isnt like he was asking for whay Brady is getting paid.

He is making what $2.5 million? The slary cap is about $120 million. So he isnt even making what the AVERAGE player on the roster is making. You have scrubs making more than him. And you blame him for taking more money?

While "team guy" Tom Brady is making a mere $16 million.

a cheater bc of sam gilbert? everyone has sugar daddies, i know he hated it but they woulda been taken care of somewhere whether he knew about it or not ...

my sis got a book signed by him for me not long ago, she said he was sweetest guy she ever met ... he was competitive as anyone, but as you know he made wicks and big red cut their hair etc ... he brought in blacks as early about as anyone in west other than USF ...

ask any of his Xs (not the few discontents) and they love and revere him to this day ... I actually went to hear him talk once and asked him some questions and he was just a super guy ..

cheating? i think that's pretty subjective, he was the consummate winner with class to me, you can spin him any way you want, but i dont see him tarnished by that light ... Rupp was bad news and Knight in his bullish ways ... Wooden in a class by his own .. I know you hate coach K, so theres not many i think you do like, b/c i asked you that b4

anyway, i guess we disgree on this one :)

He was a great coach of course, probably the greatest, and a very kind man, but it is hard for me to turn a blind eye to blatant cheating. How can it not tarnish the championships?

He got Red to cut his hair but not to play in the 72Olympics.....which Red had no excuse (of course Nater just quitting on the second day of practice might actually be worse)

I had dinner with Bobby Knight back in May and was a bit surprised that he didnt seem to care much for Wooden for that very reason. Of course he was also bitter that Wooden gave a job rec to Tarkanian over him many years ago...kind of ironic there...

plus these idiot fans booing AV, he gave them 3 Sbs rings, and seems like great guy ... and he only left b/c management is so friggin cheap in Patland

You can't say they are cheap. There is a salary cap and they spend up to the cap every year. They have a philosophy not to overpay ANY player or you will weaken yourself somewhere else. That is why they can have a deep team and are winners...

So they would be weakened by giving Brady 15 million instead of 16 and paying the best clutch kicker of all time? I would think "team guy" Tom Brady would give up a mere million to put the best players around him.....

sorry but the Pats front office spin on AV doesnt sell...

Brady is soiling himself tonight. We all know who the better QB is. Manning does have more weapons- but he would shred the Colts defense

ur right about that, i know wiz and knight would never say they hated one another, but i doubt there was anyone wooden disliked more ... heard him refer to it a couple times, said he didnt care for his style at all, and let people read between the lines ... also knight damn near beat ucla in semis early in bobby regime with steve downing .... always wondered if Wooden saw that beast growing in bloomington and retired b4 INDY's undefeated team ...

i didnt know about the Tark thing ... im telling people to keep on eye on UW games over early on, saw them practice and it was run and gun, hawes been out too
