what is probably the handicapper's worst nightmare as far as figuring out bullpens and pitching staffs, will try and keep this thread up to date what teams are doing for last two days in and first two days out out of the all-star break...very tricky day's ahead.....

After five poor starts, Denny Neagle is being sent to the bullpen by the Rockies.


Denny Stark is being inserted into the Colorado rotation in place of Denny Neagle.


Roger Clemens was scratched from his scheduled Sunday start against Toronto because of his leg cramps.
Ted Lilly will start against the Blue Jays.

Rangers optioned RHP Rob Bell to Double-A Tulsa.
Bell will start for Tulsa on Tuesday and should rejoin the Texas rotation next weekend.

Rangers recalled LHP Randy Flores from Triple-A Oklahoma.


Mariners manager Lou Piniella said John Halama will start Sunday against the Twins.

Following the trade of Jeff Weaver, Mike Maroth is now scheduled to start for the Tigers Saturday

Weaver replaces Ted Lilly, who would have been filling in for Roger Clemens.

But Cashman acknowledged that Weaver's role will be fuzzy this season. The Yanks' rotation is getting gray ? Clemens will be 40 next month, David Wells is 39, Orlando Hernandez is 36 and Mike Mussina is 33. Andy Pettitte is the puppy at 30.

But when Clemens returns after the All-Star break, it'll mean all five starters are healthy, which may mean Weaver could log some bullpen time.

"He's starting Sunday," Cashman said. "The rest of it will be a manager's decision."

Cashman said the Yankees waited until late last night to announce the deal because there were players involved playing in minor-league games on the West Coast.

Weaver was scheduled to pitch for the Tigers today against Boston, but will get an extra day's rest instead to make his Yankee debut.
