Some early views from the Uk on the start of the F1 season. I apologise in advance if some of the prices are inaccessible to some of you, I haven't quite got my head round this multi-continental stuff yet (what's a wheel bet?! ) Anyway these are some of the moves for me views/input much appreciated!
Firstly, Eurobet.com (Coral Racing from UK) have a match bet Jordan (8/11) vs Renault (evens) which looks to me to be totally the wrong favourite. All the vibes for Renault seem to be good- the car improved last backend, testing has been decent, and they have 2 capable drivers in Trulli and Button, Jordan haven't made much progress over the winter + have one potentially duff driver (Sato). The spread betting firms over here have Renault as 15 point favourites over the season, which for comparatively low scoring teams is a big gap! It looks nailed on to me!

Secondly, Bet365 have a qualifying match bet Webber @8/13 to beat Yoong, which on evidence seen so far looks like buying money - he's been over a second faster in some tests!

Third + last, How many cars do you reckon will finish? Over the last 7 years, all at Melbourne + all first race of championship, the number of finishers has been (in reverse order) 14/22, 10/22, 8/22, 9/22, 10/22, 11/20, 8/24. Several firms have issued prices on the number that finish + all seem to have based prices (or copied each other) on season long stats not 1st race of season when there's a lot of new kit out there + some over-eager drivers!
I've seen one price of 7/4 that 10 or less cars finish, which looks good given that it 's happened in 5 of the last 7 years! Also Bet365 quote 10/1 that 5 or more teams don't get a single car to finish (finish = classified for the purposes of all these bets), which again looks value as its happened twice in the last seven.

All views appreciated, are the cars more reliable now or was last year a fluke - if I haven't made sense please shout + I'll try + qualify!:D

all the best to all + let's stick it to 'em!
