KANSAS CITY ROYALS ?130 (GAME #1) - The first game of tonight?s doubleheader pits two rookie starting pitchers making their first Major League start. However, if we call the pitching matchup a wash, the Royals still have enough going for them to merit an investment at this price. Offensively, the Royals have hit left-handers well, especially over their last 10 games against them when they are tattooing southpaws at a .323 clip. Conversely, the Indians are struggling to score runs, and they are only hitting .238 vs. right-handers in their last 10 games. Also, while Lee is making his Major League debut, Voyles has at least gotten his feet wet with some work out of the KC bullpen. Finally, let?s not forget that the primary reason that the Royals are at the top of the AL Central is their sensational division record of 23-6, 79.3%, including a sparkling 8-1 mark against these Indians!

just an fyi:
while i dont disagree with your side play (as royals have absolutely owned the indians this year), its worth noting that this isnt cliff lee's major league debut. he was called up toward the end of last season and was very effective with an era less than 2 in two starts (with one solid outing coming against the twins if my memory serves correct). he would have been in the opening day rotation if not for an injury
i still think youre probably on the right side. just throwing in some info on lee. gl gene

The other start Lee made last season was against this same Royals team where he gave up 1 run off 4 hits in 5 innings. He was in jams during the game. He walked 4, but was able to pitch brilliantly when under pressure including getting out of a bases loaded jam in that game. He even admitted that he made some mistakes in that particular game, but he's someone that learns and listens. Considered a former wild child, he's matured a lot and the kid is extremely mentally tough and has had more to deal with than just baseball the past couple of seasons but has continued to stay very well focused when he's out there. Has given up a lot less hits than innings pitched in the minors and is touted as one of the best left-handed prospects in all of baseball..came over in the Bartolo Colon deal.
As for the KC, pick...it wouldn't surprise me, as the Indians are not doing a whole lot offensively of late, but then again, I wouldn't be surprised to see KC struggle a bit offensively in this one.
I'd wish you luck on the KC pick, but I can't...since they're playing my Tribe
