From experience I had noticed that if players have family come in to watch their game they usually are more sharp. In the case where the family member may be suffering from illness this angle has worked out even better as the player gives 110% effort towards the game.

Following is an artcile I read in "The Toronto Star"

The mother of Giants starter Jason Schmidt will be in the stands watching tonight after flying in from Kelso, Wash. Vicki Schmidt is suffering from a malignant brain tumour and doctors had once feared she wouldn't have the energy to make such a trip.

"She's excited, obviously," he said. "This couldn't be a better time, family-wise, for myself and my family to get an opportunity to play in the World Series and for all this to come about."

If Schmidt pitches well and Washburn pitches like he usually does will be a low scoring game at least for first 4.5 innings. Have seen Schmidt lose control after around the 6 inning mark.

Good luck

SPOCK,

ar you going to support the Jays organization by attending Blue Jay games next year? The reason why I am asking is that they just announced that they are cutting payroll by $25 M due to the loss of $55M they incurred this year.

I hope you reconsider your spending habits!

GL tonight

Take the Giants to the Bank!;)
