If you look at the Mariners record and see that if they win even a 1/3 of their games they should still make the playoffs.

Take a look at the rotation of Sele, Garcia, Abbott, Moyer, and Halama

Look at how they have done throughout their careers and see where they are today

Look at their records from past seasons and see where they are now

I see money to made AGAINST them the second half of the season

I think the time to fade Seattle will come. But, I would not fade them in this upcoming series in Mpls. Twins could conceivably get swept in this series (versus Seattle), although I predict the Mariners will probably take two games. The better value on fading the Mariners comes when they are back at home, laying very heavy wood to decent teams -- situations for example where they may be -160 to -190 favorites over teams like Anaheim, Oakland, Cleveland, Yankees, Boston, or the ChiSox. Also, look for this to surface later in the season when Seattle will begin resting the rotation. I would not fade Seattle when Sele is starting, based on what I've seen. He appears destined to win 20+

With the lead Seattle has built up they might have the playoffs locked up much sooner than the rest. That lag time until the playoffs might be very profitable.
