I have read through the forum and I must say there is some great information on this game and it looks like the forum may be split in taking this one tonight with a lean to SC.
I am going to tackle this one backwards from my usual handicapping methods and breakdown the total fist.
Over 28.5
Over 57.5
Spurrier loves to chuck the rock just has not always had the tools in SC. Now he just might in a red shirt.
The South Carolina Gamecocks head coach wants his quarterbacks to play the game like he talks it: don?t be shy and don?t hesitate.
That?s why incumbent starter Blake Mitchell will be on the sideline on Thursday while redshirt freshman Chris Smelley makes his second straight start for the Gamecocks.
Spurrier pulled Mitchell during South Carolina?s sole loss of the season at LSU, a game in which Smelley led a mild second-half rally that let the Gamecocks cover the spread as 17 ?-point underdogs in Baton Rouge.
Smelley came out firing for his first career start last week against Mississippi State, tossing 14 passes in the first quarter alone against the Bulldogs. He wasn?t flawless but played well enough to deliver another Gamecocks payday as 14-point home favorites.
But that's not the biggest part, the Wildcats real weakness is not being able to stop the run so I look for a steady start to the run game which in turn will open up the passing game.
The Wildcats offense speaks for itself and will be worthy of plenty of points.
Trends are read for this one too..
When South Carolina team played as Home team as a Favorite - After a division game - Allowed 21 points or less AGAINST in their last game the over is 10-2-1

When South Carolina team played as Home team as a Favorite - During Week 4 to 8 - Coming off a Win over Southeastern win opponent the over is 12-3-1
The side is another and very interesting story, as the line is now as high as 5 in some places....
