looks like i'm definintely in the minority on this one, so to all you iowa backers... you're welcome.
oklahoma (-14) 2 units. first, a disclosure. the last time i was on the right side on an oklahoma game was when i had boise in the fiesta bowl 5 years ago. i am well aware of how good ferentz is in bowl games. it's very dangerous to bet against him. and i know how terrible stoops is in big games. but no way is this a big game for oklahoma. there is no pressure on them whatsoever. that's usually when they are at their best, and stoops doesn't fuck it up for them.
what makes this even harder for me is that i think opposing coaches have finally figured out what i've been saying for a couple years now: landry jones really stares down his receivers. their last 3 games, he's thrown 5 INTs and no TDs. maybe oklahoma's staff has done some self-scouting and they worked on this for the last 4 weeks.
very hard for me to take bob stoops against kirk ferentz, but i think it's the right side tonight.
