All Insurance people needed on this one?
First, I have never, EVER had a claim on any of my properties :com:
On Saturday, I got a call from tenants next door(I own the duplex) that they are experiencing a flood. Got there and my wife and tenant next door had turned off the two water spigots that were running full blast for 8 hours plus, filled up window wells, and flooded both basements. Some vandals probably turned them on. No, I had not shut off the water inside yet as we have only had one or two freeze nights, and we have frost proof spigots. Both basements are fully finished. Spent hours sucking water, pulled up carpet, removed all the soaked pad, have fans and dehumidifiers running full blast. Have been at it steady for over two days.
I have just finished reading Farmers Insurance Group version of War & Peace Novel (Homeowners Policy) and have determined that I have no f*cking idea if I'm covered or not :SIB . Who the hell writes these things:thefinger ? All those close to these policies can have a laugh regarding H6104 2nd Edition Endorsement Amending Definitions, Section I - Losses Insured and Section I - Losses Not Insured. I mean WTF
Before I call the agent, I would like some idea on where I stand, and how I present this in the best light to substantiate a claim
Anyway, all help and advice are welcome and I thank you in advance
Franky
