This fellow who wrote this posts at a hunting board I frequent. He had heard that the men in the military did not support Bush, so he took time to do his own survey of active duty militarty. These are his words.

"we were debating who the real soliders wanted and looked up to in a comander-in-chief. I thought it would be good here for people to see what I found out for myself with my own eyes and not read somewhere.
I went to LBL today and drove by Fort Campbell since it was close by. Darton man's post about asking the military about Bush and stepping back made me want to find out for myself. I couldn't get on the base itself so I went to a truck stop just outside the base and for almost an hour I asked everybody in uniform that stoped there if they thought they would vote for Bush.
Remember most of these people from the 101st had been in Iraq almost a year, most of them I just asked the question so not to take much of their time but a few that were getting gas I spend a little while talking with them. Of the 93 people I asked 91 said they would vote for Bush again.
Of the few I spend time talking to I told them about the post and they told me he had it backwards. They told me go up to a member of the United States Armed Forces and put Bush down and you had better step back because they will have you on the ground so fast you will not ever know what hit you. Some also told me that there were a few new guys on the base that had just started and they talked bad about Bush. Those guys have no friends to speak of on the base and get all the **** jobs, very few people want to be around them.
I didn't read this anywhere but talked to these servicemen and women face to face and some of them had been in Iraq and seen some of the worse of it all. They still know whose right and will stand behind them. Talking to them made me proud as heck!! "
