So I put $416 to win $200 on NO BIG TEN TEAM WINNING THE CHAMPIONSHIP.
Then I put $200 to win $560 on Illinois winning the championship.
Illinois wins it all = +$144 profit
If non Big ten team wins it all = break even
If Wiscy or Michigan St. win it all = -$616
I don't see Michigan St. or Wiscy winning it all. I hope not! I'll take $144 profit or go home even steven. I don't see Wiscy and MSU even making the finals yet alone winning it all. One would have to knock the other out. So if both meet up in final four, one of them still could lose in the finals game. Or I could put $600 on MSU or WISCY in the finals +pts and guaranteed to break even or maybe win $600 if they lose AND cover the spread. No way Wiscy or MSU would be favorites in the finals.
Today Wiscy is 10pt underdogs and MSU is 1.5pt underdogs. Both are expected to lose according to vegas odds.
Out of 8 teams left in the tourney, Wiscy and MSU are #6 and #7 favorites to wn it all according to Vegas futures.
Hopefully Vegas is right!
