im not a big nba guy, so take this fwiw, but its just something ive noticed over the last few months because im subjected to watching the cavaliers on a nightly basis. and whats weird about this is that im an EXCLUSIVELY an under player in the nba. i basically refuse to bet any nba game over the total. its either under or pass for me. i keep no stat records, nor any database- but i just noticed a trend forming over the last few months from watching their games and i finally decided to look into it, and the results are absolutely eye-popping.
=============================================
cleveland has won 12 games this year.
after a cavaliers straight up win, they have played the following in their next game out:
9 overs
2 unders
==============================================
after a cavaliers win, they have let their opposition score the following amounts of points (with most recent being first)
118
107
113
118
85
113
111
115
112
107
78
the cavs allowed that 78 pt game to phoenix way back in october in the first week of the season, so if you were to throw that out of the equation- you would have the cavs allowing over 110 points after a win
=============================================
take it all fwiw. i dont like betting nba overs at all. but i am playing this dallas/cleveland game over the total simply out of principle. its like the cavs figure "hey, we finally won a game- who gives a sh1t what our defense looks like the next game out". and with the cavs coming off a rare win sunday- the trend would apply to the cavs/mavs game on tuesday night.
at very worst, just something to keep an eye on for the rest of the year. cavs might not win many more games straight-up the rest of the way, so maybe this trend wont be in effect anymore in 2003- but it would apply to tuesday nights game.
just tossing out some info.
