Whenever I try to close an IE window, I get an error message and it ends up closing all open windows. The error message refers to IE and asks me to send an error report. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have tried to run McAfee. I've used other cleaning tools. I've DL'd the MS update for IE.

Any ideas?

Gary I not very savvy on matters like this and would get all others input 1st--but if I run into something strange like your situation I can often clear it by doing system restore.

a system restore will not erase your favorites, but if you want to make sure, just copy your favorites to another location on your hard drive so you have a copy.

Without seeing more what the error is, hard to help

You can also try to clear all your cache and temp files.

Go to Tools-Options and you will find it in there

The System Restore appears to have fixed it. The issue is probably linked to Yahoo Messenger. I just DL'd it the other day. The GF was having the same error pop up and she just DL'd it too.

Thanks guys.
